This really doesn't deserve a thread. It would be irresponsible of any GM to not put every single player on waivers. We don't need to be updated every time a scout/journalist catches wind of one of that day's waiver list additions.

I consider myself a man of my word, so it does pain me when I have to break it. In the past, I said I wouldn't spend a penny on the Jays as long as JP Ricciardi was still the GM.

But unlike Adam Dunn, I do have a passion for baseball. I'm going on a baseball road trip starting next week. I'm going to catch my 3 favorites teams in person (Jays, Yanks, Red Sox). I'm going to fly to Toronto to watch the Jays play the Yanks and Red Sox at RC and than I'm flying to New York to watch the Jays at Yankee Stadium. The last time I watched the Jays in Toronto, they played at a stadium called the Skydome. What improvements, outside of a bigger Jays shop and that funky OF scoreboard, have been made at the RC? Does anybody know if the Jays shops sells a Retro Doc Jersey T-Shirt, such as this one? http://jaysshop.stores.truition.com/edealinv/servlet/ExecMacro?nurl=control/StoreItem.vm&ctl_nbr=989&siId=3200025&catParentID=1821&scId=1821

If so, does anybody know the price?

New turf, new "ribbonboard" scoreboards, new but equally mediocre and overpriced concessions. Oh, and they removed much of the offense from the team :)

That t-shirt is most def. available. I think its $25-30.

Have fun.

It says the price on the website... they are 35$.

And there is little significance to any players being put on waivers.

MLB trade rumors said that Detroit had claimed Ibanez before Toronto could pick. We won't know if JP tried to claim him. Somebody will have to call in and ask.

I wasn't too impressed with my last t-shirt jersey, after just a few washes the name and number started peeling off. And I'm pretty careful with my clothes.

Then again the name was Koskie so perhaps my washing machine was trying to tell me something.

I'm surprised no one has asked how is it possible that someone's three favourite teams are Toronto, New York and Boston?

Yes, that would seem to defy the laws of God and Man.

And Physics. And Motion. And Probability. And whatever other laws may be out there.

I can see that. If you live in the upstate NY capital district, like I used to do, you're roughly (by car, good traffic) 2.5 hours from the city (New York City, that is, of course), 2.5 hours from Boston and not all that far -- maybe 5 hours -- from Toronto. They're the three teams -- other than the Mets -- you hear about most living there.

Actually, come to think of it, Baltimore (about 4.5 hours) is a little closer than Toronto but they get almost no attention in the Albany area.

Don't forget about the Oprah-endorsed Law of Attraction. But don't tell anyone. It's a Secret.
