Perez has a conference with second baseman Luis Castillo and shortstop Jose Reyes.  Only Reyes is back with the Mets for 2011.  Perez and Castillo have been released with Castillo now trying to catch on with Philadelphia after signing a minor league deal.

Hisanori Takahashi comes on in relief of Perez after Perez was booed off the mound for surrendering a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning.

Takahashi gets ready to throw a changeup.  The Japanese southpaw would earn the victory as the Mets would pound the Dodgers 10-5 to complete a doubleheader sweep.  Takahashi signed a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Angels during the off-season.

Adam Wainwright in action against Toronto at the Dome June 24.

Wainwright gets ready to throw one to the plate.

Wainwright wound up taking the loss in a 5-0 setback to the Blue Jays.  He'll miss the entire 2011 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his right elbow.

I'm guessing Ted Williams was the batter in the first picture. David Wright appears to be shifted over quite a bit.

Reading the reviews of Aaron Hill's first spring game, it seems as if it may be best that he starts the season on the DL

What an odd delivery. He's delivered the pitch, and almost all of his weight is still behind his planted foot.
