AJ Jimenez is back off the DL and recorded four hits. With Austin Bibens-Dirxk doing his part by fanning twelve, Dunedin won. New Hampshire also won a close game on two solo home runs and shutout pitching. Buffalo split a doubleheader with Ricky Romero pitching in the win. Lansing were beaten up.

Lehigh Valley 3  Buffalo 4 - game 1

Ricky Romero gave up two hits in the first, a walk and a ground ball single in the second. He was perfect in the third, fourth and fifth. The sixth was the problem, four hits and a walk led to three runs. Again this was progress for Ricky. He is not near to coming back to the majors but he has two decent starts to build on. John Stilson came on to get the last four outs.

Buffalo had a 2-0 lead before Romero conceded three, both Jim Negrych and Anthony Gose doubled in runs. With the Bisons down 3-2 in the sixth Luis Jimenez homered to tie the game. After the homer Moses Sierra singled and scored when Mike McCoy drove him in for the winning run.

Lehigh Valley 4   Buffalo 0 - game 2

Justin Germano pitched well for Buffalo, he had allowed an unearned run through six innings. But in the seventh the first three hitters reached. The bullpen didn't help and the Bisons were down 4-0.

Greg Smith, the former major leaguer, pitched for the Iron Pigs and he was very good. Buffalo had just three hits, Gose was the only hitter to have a hit in each game.

New Hampshire 2  Erie 0

Brad Glenn broke up a scoreless game with a solo home run in the sixth. Amadeo Zazueta added his own solo home run in the eighth to make it 2-0.

Ryan Tepera, who has been up and down this season, pitched five shutout innings with 7 K's. Randy Boone, who seems to be returning to form after a couple of injury plagued seasons, pitched two perfect innings. Dustin Antolin pitched the last two. The Fisher Cats had just five hits.

Clearwater 1  Dunedin 7

Dunedin take a 2 game lead with ten to play. Darren Oliver pitched the first then Austin Bibens-Dirkx pitched seven innings notching 12 K's while allowing one run. Bibens-Dirkx is too advanced for A ball.

The offense was led by fresh off the DL AJ Jimenez who was 4-5 with two doubles and 4 RBI's. Andy Burns, Jon Berti and Marcus Knecht had two hits each.

Fort Wayne 10  Lansing 6

Taylor Cole had a tough start, he was charged with seven runs in five innings. Four of the runs were earned. The Lugnuts trailed 7-0 when he left and although they tried to get back in it the deficit was too large. Justin Jackson pitched two innings, he did concede a run and recorded two K's.

Lansing had seven hits, Dalton Pompey was the only hitter with two.

At this point, Asutin BD is also the best starting pitcher in AA New Hampshire, even though they demoted him to Dunedin.

How do you pronounce his surname? Rhymes with Gibbons-Burks?
