#BlueJays affiliates were 0-for-3 in the win column on Labour Day Monday before Vancouver won its meaningless regular season finale.

Syracuse 2 Buffalo 0

Shawn Morimando served up a home run among two runs he gave up in the third. He lasted six innings with six hits and four strikeouts on his pitching line. Jake Petricka and Justin Shafer finished up with a scoreless frame.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. doubled. Dalton Pompey singled and walked and Richard Urena had a base hit.

Hartford 5 New Hampshire 3

The Fisher Cats head into the playoffs with no momentum on their side as they blew their season-long division lead. Jon Berti had three hits in five at-bats including his eighth homer of the year. Bo Bichette had a triple and Josh Palacios made his Double-A debut by going 0-for-3. Palacios pinch-hit for Santiago Espinal who was 1-for-1.

Josh DeGraaf was jolted for two home runs and three overall over three innings and Francisco Rios was raked for two more over three frames. Danny Young, Jackson McClelland and Kirby Snead put up a goose egg.

Lake County 3 Lansing 2

The Lugnuts also head into the postseason on a losing note. Home runs by Brandon Grudzielanek and Samad Taylor were not enough. Chavez Young was 1-for-3 with a walk and his 44th stolen base. Vinny Capra and Ryan Gold both doubled. Reggie Pruitt walked and stole his 37th bag.

Donnie Sellers surrendered two runs on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts. Turner Larkins got the loss by allowing a run over two innings.

Vancouver 7 Spokane 4

Brandon Polizzi played all nine positions in this one, retiring the only hitter he faced and went 1-for-5 with an RBI. Hunter Steinmetz and Jesus Severino had three hits apiece while Yorman Rodriguez and Sterling Guzman had two.

Joey Murray earned his first pro win with two shutout innings and three strikeouts in relief. Joey Pulido finished his Vancouver tenure with a 0.00 ERA and two unearned runs allowed in 24-2/3 innings.

If you have BA or haven't used up the 5 freebies they offer, here's a good non-paywalled synopsis of the final game between Bluefield and Princeton.

Thanks, PeterG.  Weather looks good too.  I know where I'd be tonight if I lived within an hour of the ballpark....
