Buffalo came from behind with three runs in the eighth to win. New Hampshire came from behind with two runs in the ninth to win. Dunedin won from the front. Vancouver did come back from a 4-1 deficit but ultimately lost. Addison Barger had four hits. This is your abbreviated long weekend minor league update.

Worcester 3 Buffalo 5

New Hampshire 5 Binghamton 4

Everett 4 Vancouver 1

Dunedin 3 Clearwater 1

FCL Phillies 7 FCL Blue Jays 4

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

LJ Talley homered for Buffalo in the eighth to turn a 3-2 deficit into a 5-3 lead. It was an opposite field shot. Otto Lopez had two more hits. The Bisons used eight pitchers.

New Hampshire scored two in the ninth to win 5-4. Addison Barger singled, Luis De Los Santos doubled, Phil Clarke hit a sac fly and Cam Eden singled in the winning run. Earlier Zach Britton hit a two run home run and Sebastian Espino a solo shot. Barger was 4-5 with two doubles. He is hitting .462.

Four pitchers used by the Fisher Cats. Sean Mellen started and struck out six in three innings.

Trenton Wallace had six strikeouts out of the eight outs he recorded. But he did surrender a three run home run. Matt Svanson also allowed a home run in his 2.1 innings. For the C's, Leo Jimenez hit a two run home run.

The D Jays held the Phillies to just two hits. Dahian Santos was the starter. He did give up a home run but struck out eight in four innings. Estiven Machado had two hits, Rainer Nunez two RBI.

Robert Robertis had two hits, Yhoangel Aponte one. Those two teenagers are the leading hitters on the FCL team.

Third Star - Dahian Santos

Waves of prospects. I don't know when they will be ready but Groshans, Barger and O Martinez could be strong offensive contributors in 2024.

Groshans OBP with good Avg and bb/k. The Jays must have an idea about why his power is so low. Barger has taken a big step forward by dominating A+ & AA. O Martinez incredible power but a work in progress.

Tanner Morris and Spencer Horwitz are moving up nicely.

It will be interesting if any of the 3 LHH having breakout seasons - Horwitz, Morris or Barger get the callup this season or are moved for big league talent.

You can only call up one position player.
It depends on who is injured. Right now, I'd take someone who can play CF.
