NOTES

Jay Jackson had another bad outing, his second in a row. Ex- Jay Franklin Barreto took him deep for a grand slam. His ERA is 12.46.

Rob Brantley is almost two hit Rob. Two more hits on Sunday left his average at .379. Home town boy Ernie Clement homered and was 2-3.

Adam Kloffenstein just went three innings and gave up a run. He was decent. Luis Quinones followed and was better, three shutout innings. Jimmy Burnette picked up his third save. He has a zero ERA and a .67 WHIP in what is a good start to his season.

Trevor Schwecke singled in a run for New Hampshire and scored another by forcing an error on a steal of third. He was 2-4.

In Dunedin Manuel Beltre has gone on the IL after being hit by a pitch. Adrian Pinto came out of Sundays game after being caught stealing second.

Eliander Alcalde made his second start. He gave up a run in four innings. In two starts he has allowed two hits in seven innings. But he has walked four.

Tucker Toman doubled and walked. He is hitting .300, very good for the FSL.

According to a Vancouver Canadians media advisory, "the Vancouver Canadians and Rogers Communications to announce details of an expanded multi-year agreement."

More details to be issued Tuesday.

The NY Times has an article up on the Canadians. I hadn't realized they were sold recently to some U.S. investors.

I am following through on the theme of what I would be watching for this minor league season.

So far watching rain in Buffalo and Vancouver. So SSS.

For Dunedin Beltre is off to a very good start. Robertis 6/6 for bb/k but only a .143 Avg. Toman .3oo Avg, good bb but almost .500 K rate. For pitching some young ones and some old ones are doing well. All are unknowns to me.

NH has some good bb/k for W Robertson & P Clarke who are both repeating AA. Leo Jimenez & Palmegiany are new to AA and are off to positive starts. I like the pitching more. Robberse and Tiedemann have been outstanding as I had hoped. Robbins and Schultz are older and off to good starts. Kloffenstein has struggled. All have AA experience.

I checked who the catchers were for each SP. Robberse & Robbins both gms Clarke, Tiedemann 1 gm Rios, Schultz 1 gm each Rios/Clarke. Kloffenstein 1 gm each Britton/Rios. I cannot give any excuses for Kloffenstein. I also don't know how Britton is as a C.

The "big announcement" from the C's is Blue Jays ownership has its name on the ballpark now. It's a five-year naming rights deal with Nat Bailey Stadium. I was hoping it was an extension of the affiliation agreement.

Tough night for Adrian Hernandez and Jol Concepcion. When you roll out two relievers with 10 plus ERA's, its not going to end well.

Adrian Hernandez seems to have lost his groove. He is back in AA and unable to get results.
