Vancouver Canadians
The Vancouver Canadians are in the midst of their last home stand of the season against the Everett Aquasox.
Vancouver used three home runs and a solid pitching performance from Silvano Hechavarria to take this one 8-2. He went 5.1 innings, allowing two runs on three hits, walked three and struck out seven.
In the bottom of the first, Vancouver two score two runs on to doubles from Nick Goodwin and Cutter Coffey and then a sacrifice fly from Arjun Nimmala. The double steal had helped moved the runners prior to give Vancouver the lead 2-0.
Everett had rallied to tie it 2-2 in the fifth but then Nick Goodwin walked and Sean Keys hit his team leading 17th home run of the year to restore the two run lead.
Edward Duran’s three run shot made it 8-2 in the eighth after Carter Cunningham started the inning with a single and Sean Keys walked.
The C’s and Aquasox play the third game of the series today at 7:05 PM PDT at Nat Bailey Stadium.Buffalo Bison
The Bisons were 10-2 losers Wednesday to the Syracuse Mets.
The Mets five-run fourth inning proved to be the difference in this one a Francisco Alvarez’s grand slam accounted for four runs in that inning.
Jett Williams also blased a two-run shot for Syracuse in the eighth as well that accounted for another two of the Mets runs.
Buffalo and Syracuse play again today at 1:05 PM ET.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats
The Fisher Cats lost 8-4 Wednesday despite scoring the games first four runs.Pitcher Grant Rogers allowed six runs in the bottom of the fifth to a Somerset Patriots team that scored eight unanswered runs in this contest the rest of the way.
New Hampshire and Somerset play today at 6:35 PM ET.
Dunedin Blue Jays
The Dunedin Blue Jays lost 8-5 to the Bradenton Pirates Wednesday with the Pirates scoring four in the fourth proving to be the difference.
Dunedin actually led 5-3 after three and a half but a Carlos Caro RBI single and Jhonny Severino double gave Bradenton a 6-5 lead to start the Pirates four run fourth.
Dundedin and Bradenton play today at 6:30 PM ET.
