I won't lie; I'm quite apathetic in terms of who wins. I just want to see some good baseball played. I would have rooted for Walker, Pujols and Carpenter. But, such is the nature of sport.
The prospect of Ken Harrelson gloating... I can't bear it. Which is a shame, because I kind of get a kick out Ozzie and his crew.
Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell. Need i say more.
The White Sox will get another chance, i really believe that, so although i think the Sox will win, i will be cheering for the Killer B's and i hope Bagwell gets a start at DH and helps this team to a victory. You could see he had a little Dave Stieb in him on Wednesday. "Yes, my team is going to the World Series, but i had nothing to do with it."

I'm now rooting for the Habs....until April anyways (although they will be playing beyond that!)
Chicago. That city loves baseball. That city's waited long enough for a championship. Besides, with Houston's history, making the World Series is a great start for them, and with their young players they should be back again soon.
Clemens is 43. Pettitte is 33. Ausmus is 36. Bagwell is 37. Biggio is 39. Ensberg and Lamb are 30.
I guess if you want to consider Berkman (29), Lane (28), Everett (28), Oswalt (28), Lidge (28), Bruntlett (27) Backe (27) and Qualls (27) "young," they are, at least compared to their teammates listed above.
According to ESPN.com, the average age on the current HOU roster is 30.6, so it is at best, generous to call them a young team or even refer to them as a team with young players.
On the entire roster, only Chris Burke and Ezequiel Astacio, both 25, could reasonably be considered legitimately "young" players, and neither (Burke's big homer and surname notwithstanding) are Killer-B types

I've lived in Halifax, Dartmouth, Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, Northern Ontario, Whistler, and Chicago, and I have to say Chicago is by far my favourite place. As well, The Sox are my dad's favourite team, and have been since he moved there in '96. I have no connection - spiritual or physical - to Houston.
Houston plays that annoying buzzing sound when one of then Killer B's comes to bat. The worst I heard in games on the South Side was the "OH-EE-OH" "Magglio" call and response. Which hasn't been played there since 2004 anyway. As well,Comiskey, er, New Comiskey, make that U.S. Cellular is actually a very nice park. I don't mind a quirky ballpark, but Enron, make that the Juice Box seems too contrived for my tastes.
Ken Harrelson is a gawd-awful broadcaster, but he's no worse than Ron Santo on Cubs radio. (Santo is redeemed by having Pat Hughes next to him; DJ is a Harrelson lackey and therefore makes Sox games unwatchable. Since I don't live in Chicago anymore, I don't have to worry about that aspect). As much as tha Hawk's gloating would be grating, it wouldn't be as bad as the gloating of millions of so-called Cubs fans (as opposed to the slightly fewer number of Cubs fans, of whom I know many). As for the Astros, well, I guess the Bush family needs something to cheer about, but they sure as heck don't need me on their side.

The Hawk Factor doesn't apply to me that much. The only time I had to listen to him was during the White Sox Advance Scout period and needless to say, if the WS win the WS, I won't be covering any of Mike D's Chicago vacancies. :)
