The New York Yankees are talking about signing Pasqual Coco. Derek Jeter needs someone to play hide-the-glove with.

Okay, fine, make up your own punchline, then:

My comment posted on the earlier Coco thread....

"I read on the "crawl" on Sportsnet last night that the Evil Empire might sign Coco."

If Coco's signing has the potential to interfere with Yankee clubhouse harmony, I'm all for it. :-)

(Actually, I suspect that Coco deliberately orchestrated the theft in order to get released. I wonder whether Markwell agreed to the "theft", knowing that Coco would give him back his money.)

If Coco can't crack the Jays' major league pitching roster, what gives him the idea that he has a prayer of cracking the Yankees' roster? Maybe Columbus is a more happening town than Syracuse--I doubt it though.

Looks like the Brew Crew got to Coco first.

Why can't teams say "no,no" to Coco?

Ash had to ask Lawrence about Coco? Doesn't he know what his own prospects were like? It's not like Pascual hasn't been on the 40 man roster for a few years. This just typifies why Gord Ash was a lousy GM (like anyone here didn't already know that).
