I have no idea what happened in this game. Apparently, Magpie is scared of Ortiz.

WTF is up with Gibbons pulling Speier for Frasor...and then Frasor for Walker? These guys are allowed to go more than one inning. Grah. I don't see why Gibby felt the need to use everyone in the pen tonight. I missed the very end of the game, but I was scratching my head when Frasor came in. Why doesn't anyone trust Speier? Blah.

Oh well, watching Vernon hit that three run bomb was great, and it was a good game. Ortiz going deep to end games is annoying though.

Pete Walker has officially been designated as the Jays "extra innings game blower." Absolutly horrible to allow 3 homers to Ortiz/Man-Ram.

At this point, is there ANY point in pitching Ted Lilly out of the rotation? He's been awful all season and his future with TO is in doubt. Why not give his spot in the rotation to McGowan rather than have McGowan's corpse rot away in the Jays pen.

They have a decision to make this winter about Lilly, and he pitched a fine game tonight. But in his second start after six weeks on the shelf, he was left out there too long.

We all know the Jays need 2 power bats. Wouldn't it be nice if I waved a magic wand and Ortiz and Manny were playing for the Jays next season :)

Everytime both of these guys step up to the plate I feel like something terrible is about to happen to the opposition.

First off, relax. Ted Lilly wasn't great, but he had a good start. He pitched very decent and gave the team a chance to win.

Absolutly horrible to allow 3 homers to Ortiz/Man-Ram.

Frustrating and deflating, yes, but not horrible. If there's a 3-4 combo that will do it, it's them. Horrible would be allowing three homers by Berg and Gomez.

For cheer clubbers out there, Mr. Kothkie won the Klondikes. This was probably one of the few games every when Jays fans were outnnumbered. Vernon's home run was amazing, and will help me sleep.

Until Ortiz decided to hit a ball out to the Hard Rock Cafe, he had cast a spell on the Red Sox bats all season. Whether that merits keeping him in the rotation for good, it certainly merits leaving him in against Boston. Boston fans are convinced that Lilly and Rodrigo Lopez (of the Orioles) have a secret plan to befuddle the Sox and throw meatballs to the rest of the league.
