The baseball season, at least for the Jays, is over.  However, I'm going to use some of my coverage of the Jays' opposition this year to keep Photo of the Day running for at least the first round of the playoffs -- we'll see how quickly I run out of material.

Of the American League teams that made the post-season, I have photographs of all of them that aren't the Yankees.  Please feel free to request players you'd like to see in the next couple of weeks.  In the meantime, here are your Toronto Blue Jays, marching off the field and delivering high-fives all around:

When making your player requests, there's an easy way to check if I've got a photograph of the player you want to see: check the box scores from that day.

Great work all season, Aaron. Howzabout my man Curtis Granderson to get the Tigers off to a good start against the Empire?

Your wish is my command -- look for him at midnight.

I am requesting Eric Chavez, preferably with his glove on. So I can peer closely at it and see if there's some secret to his Defensive Goodness...

What I really like about the above picture is the contrast between the enormous gloves sported by the outfielders and the wee little thing worn by the middle infielder.

Were you able to snatch any of Travis Hafner sitting on the bench? I'd love to see one of him.

Also, if you have one of Shin Soo Choo, that would be cool too.

Again, I echoe the round of applause for the POTD this season. My desktop changed daily.

An Ichiro or Felix Hernandez shot? [whichever you judge to be greater]

I'm sure I can work in both of them, Geoff.  Keep your eyes peeled.

I'd like Scott Kazmir and Frank Thomas, if you have good ones of them.  Russ Branyan would be good too, but I might be pushing my luck at this point.

Kazmir and Thomas, check.  Branyan I don't remember offhand anything great of him, but I'll look.

Hey, the more requests I get, the longer it'll be until Photo of the Day turns into Photo of the Week for the winter.

Milton Bradley please, NFH.

Also Joe Nathan.

Craig -- how about Milton Bradley breaking his bat over his leg?
Mike Green - Tuesday, October 03 2006 @ 11:40 AM EDT (#156446) #
Hey, I see that Joel Zumaya pitched in the Tigers-Jays game.  Any chance, NFH?

Joel Zumaya is now on the list.

How about a collage of ex-Jays in the playoffs?
Off the top of my head, Shannon Stewart, Kelvim Escobar, Esteban Loiaza, Carlos Delgado, Chris Woodward, even Jeff Kent ... I'm sure there are others I am not getting off the top of my head.

Sort of a combined PoD and Gone But Not Forgotten ...

Craig B - Tuesday, October 03 2006 @ 11:57 AM EDT (#156453) #
NFH - Milton breaking his bat over his leg is a surefire THT Baseball Card, isn't it?
Named For Hank - Tuesday, October 03 2006 @ 02:08 PM EDT (#156474) #
I think so, Craig.

Mick -- sadly, I have coverage of virtually none of those guys.
