The last extra-innings game of the year at the Dome resulted in a walk-off win for the home side.

Ricky Romero warms up on the mound while third baseman Edwin Encarnacion reaches for the rosin bag.  Romero did not have his best outing of the season as he gave up three runs on five hits and five walks over five innings but he kept the O's in check after giving up all three of his runs in the second inning.

Aaron Hill high-fives a fan on the way to the dugout after clubbing his 25th homer of the season off Orioles starter Jeremy Guthrie in the bottom of the second to put the Jays in flight.

Lyle Overbay lifts a fly ball to centre in the sixth inning...

...to score Travis Snider, who belted his 11th homer back in the third inning off Guthrie, to tie the score at 3-3 in the sixth.

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands!  Edwin Encarnacion crosses home plate in front of Orioles catcher Jake Fox after homering in the seventh off Guthrie to tie game at 4-4.

Encarnacion
is congratulated by Jose Molina on his 16th homer of the season.  Encarnacion's blast came after Ty Wigginton homered off Casey Janssen in the top half of the seventh to give the Orioles a short-lived 4-3 lead.

Lefty Jesse Carlson was one of six relievers to enter the game for the Jays.  He struck out two to keep the Orioles off the board in the tenth inning.  Brian Tallet, Josh Roenicke, Scott Downs and David Purcey teamed up to provide 4 1/3 innings of shutout relief.

Purcey gets the win after Lyle Overbay hits a walk-off homer off former Jay Mark Hendrickson.  Home plate umpire Jim Reynolds checks to see if Overbay touches the plate.

Reynolds walks away, apparently satisfied that Overbay crossed the plate as the Jays continue to celebrate.   Jose Bautista is about to join the fray.  He made a run-saving catch to rob Adam Jones and threw to first to double off Ty Wigginton in the fifth inning.  In the sixth, Bautista clubbed a ball foul on the third base side that managed to clear the stadium.

The final score in 11 innings - Jays 5 Orioles 4!
