Yahoo!  Sports encapsulates it this way:

The good news: A Marine lieutenant colonel finally figured out a way for the St. Louis Cardinals to defeat Roy Halladay.

The bad: It involves actually shooting and killing the Philadelphia Phillies ace pitcher with a 68-ton battle tank.

Seriously, go read the story linked above, then come back here and share your thoughts. Bonus points to the Bauxite respondent who can find the most creative way to say "disgusting" and "idiotic."

Uh, militarily speaking, with all the Marines that come from Philly, that might not be the safest move ever. Hope his troops aren't depending much on his tactical sense downrange.

Pretty much in line with everything else the U.S. Military is doing these days: accomplishing the exact opposite of what it sets out to do.

Something to remember...think before you speak. i have made that mistake now & then.

He got carried away. If someone had to be in the broadcast booth, they must have had better options. He should have been coached better.
