Dunedin had a come-from-ahead loss and Vancouver was never ahead. Buffalo and New Hampshire did not lose because they were rained out.

Eugene 8 Vancouver 5

The Giants affiliate scored six unearned runs off Abdiel Mendoza in the second inning after P.K. Morris muffed a fly ball. Mendoza escaped a bases-loaded jam in the first but gave up seven runs on eight hits and two walks over 3-2/3 innings. He struck out two and recorded five outs on the ground. Naswell Paulino stranded two Mendoza runners and offset three walks with six K's over 2-1/3 innings. Matt Svanson gave up a run over two frames and Connor Cooke pitched a shutout ninth, hitting 100 miles per hour on the Nat Bailey Stadium radar gun.

Miguel Hiraldo had a sacrifice fly and Michael Turconi singled in his first at-bat on Canadian soil to drive in a run but Morris added a baserunning blunder by getting thrown out at third to stop the second inning rally. A Rainer Nuñez single, an Andrés Sosa groundout and a Morris sac fly produced the final three runs in the third. Nuñez, Dasan Brown and Gabby Martinez all had two hits. Sosa, Hiraldo, Turconi and Alex De Jesus had one hit apiece. Morris and Damiano Palmegiani both walked and Palmegiani took one for the team. The only good news for Vancouver was its magic number for a playoff berth being reduced to one after Spokane lost in Tri-City.

Palm Beach 4 Dunedin 3

The Cardinals got a sacrifice fly in the seventh to tie the game and a Manuel Beltre throwing error at second in the ninth led to the losing run for Dunedin. Anthony Kay pitched a one-hit first inning with a strikeout and that was followed by a pair of zeros from Harry Rutkowski. Alex Amalfi allowed a two-run homer in two innings to get a blown save. Ryan Jennings got a BS next to his name after an unearned run over 2-1/3 innings as a result of a Victor Mesia passed ball. Ian Churchill stranded a runner for Jennings but took the loss with a run that was not earned over 1-2/3 innings but did strike out four.

Beltre doubled home the game's first run in the second inning and hit into a double play in the fourth to bring home another run. Mesia had an RBI single to open the two-run fourth. Beltre, Mesia and Alan Roden all had two hits with Beltre and Roden drawing a walk. Josh Kasevich, Estiven Machado, Cade Doughty, Peyton Williams, Devonte Brown and Dylan Rock all made a dent in the hit column with Kasevich getting a base on balls. Marcos De La Rosa pinch-ran for Mesia and stole second base in the ninth. Dunedin would load the bases with one out but Kasevich and Doughty both struck out swinging to end the game. The D-Jays hold a two-game lead over Bradenton and Tampa for first place in their second-half standings.
