NOTES

The Buffalo game was scoreless through four innings then the fifth inning saw 14 runs. Buffalo were down 8-0, then scored six in the fourth and four more in the seventh. Jamie Ritchie had a big night, a triple in the fourth scoring three runs and a double in the seventh scoring two. Five RBI in the game. Rafael Lantigua had three hits, Otto Lopez, whose bat is finally heating up, had two.

Hayden Juenger seems to have righted the ship. He added two shutout innings. Paul Fry got the save, he seems to be the most reliable reliever in Buffalo right now.

Sem Robberse went five innings for New Hampshire with five K's. He had one bad inning, a lead off walk, a ground ball single and a three run home run.

New Hampshire didn't score until the bottom of the ninth. Sebastian Espino had two hits and had the only RBI.

Double headers for Dunedin and Vancouver today.

It seems that our OF this year and going forward will emphasize all CFs. But I could be wrong. Varsho and Springer locked up for next year and both can hit 20 Hr in a season. Teo and Lourdes have hit 20 Hr in a season but they are not good CFs. KK is a good CF but never hit 20 Hr but hit doubles. High ranking prospect Gabby Martinez is not considered a CF but can hit. This is something I am watching for on our farm.

That is good news.

I’m a bit surprised no one has commented on the report that the Jays are likely to sign 15-year-old SS Kennew Blanco. Kiley McDaniel has him listed as the third-best 2007 baby in all of baseball. Sounds like he could be a good one.

That is good news, greenfrog.

Elsewhere I wondered why it was Dallas rather than Wallace, whose numbers seemed just as good and is a year older, got the promotion to NH. Wondering no more. Dallas' line tonight:
7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 9 K. 83 pitches 61 strikes. Nice

Dallas grades out as a more impressive pitching prospect from a ceiling standpoint. Wallace tops out mostly at 90-91 mph and his very low arm angle could give him extreme splits as he moves up. The changeup isn't bad but there's not enough separation from the FB velo. He relies heavily on his secondary stuff/changing speeds to survive. I doubt he's a long-term, full-time starter.

Yeah, I have seen Wallace live twice. There isn’t much interesting there. Marc’s scouting report is bang on. He has excellent control and command of a very meh SL but that command and control is very effective against a subset of A ball hitters. Org arm.
