Vancouver Canadians

In the first half of the 2024 Northwest League season and last year's playoffs, the Vancouver Canadians were on the wrong side of games when playing the Spokane Indians. The Indians won the 2024 league title, dethroning Vancouver, which won in 2023.

Wednesday's game saw Vancouver lose their second straight in Spokane by a score of 9-7.

An early Adrian Pinto home run gave Vancouver a 1-0 lead after half an inning, but the Indians tied it in their half of the first and led until the fifth when Cutter Coffey's double scored Sean Keys to make it 5-4.

The teams traded runs, and Vancouver went ahead 7-6 when Pinto hit his second home run.

Spokane would take the lead for good in the bottom half of the eighth when a balk scored Tevin Tucker, and then Jared Thomas scored in a Braylen Wimmer single.

Vancouver is now 13-15 on the season. The two teams play the third game of their series today at 6:35 pm PDT.

Buffalo Bisons

The Bisons were 8-7 losers to the St. Paul Saints Wednesday night, thanks to a three-run rally by the Saints in the bottom of the ninth.

Mike Ford's homer scored two runners, giving St. Paul the come-from-behind win despite home runs from Davis Schneider and Joey Loperfido that gave the Bisons the lead in their half of the eighth.

Buffalo is now 13-20 on the season. The two teams play the third game of their series today at 7:37 pm ET.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats

The Fisher Cats and Hartford Yard Goats each won a game in a doubleheader that the teams played on Wednesday.

New Hampshire struck first in game one with two runs in the bottom of the third thanks to an RJ Schreck triple that scored Jay Harry and Jacob Sharp.

Hartford would only get a single run in their half of the seventh, and that would be all New Hampshire would need as they held on to win 2-1.

In Game two, the Yard Goats would get three in the top of the second, and the Fisher Cats did manage two in the bottom of the third when Jace Bohrofen doubled, scoring Robert Brooks and RJ Schreck.

That would be all the offence New Hampshire could muster as Hartford added another insurance run in the top of the seventh to win 4-2.

New Hampshire and Hartford play today at 6:35 pm ET.

Dunedin Blue Jays

The Dunedin Blue Jays were 7-3 winners Wednesday as they travelled to Fort Myers to face the Mighty Mussels.

A three-run third and eighth innings, and a single run in the fourth would give Dunedin the victory.

Fort Myers opened the scoring in the bottom of the second, but Jean Joseph responded in the third on a two-run homer, and Sam Shaw made it 3-1 with a solo shot.

Jean Joseph singled in the fourth, scoring Tucker Toman and would finish the day with a run, two hits and three RBI's.

The three-run eight was kicked off with a triple by Edward Duran, scoring Sam Shaw, and then Bryce Arnold's single scored Edward Duran.

Dunedin and Fort Myers play today at 6:30 pm ET
