I actually like cunningham, but being 25 in A+ seems to say the org doesn't so much.
The only reason I can think of that he isn't starting in AA is A) Peyton Williams should be back in AA soon, and B) when you add in Hornung, Keys, Micheletti, Parker and Bohrofen, there isn't enough 1B/LF/RF/3B to go around. Can't imagine he'll be in Vancouver that long though.
Cunningham is an org player not a prospect so he'll fill in where needed after the top guys have been placed. He also wasn't that good in High-A last year (33% k rate).
I don't know that Williams will be back in AA soon. I think Williams is an org soldier like Cunningham and will find a home wherever needed. I think he's needed in Dunedin right now.
never like it when we draft someone that we pretty much immediately condemn as just an organizational guy right from day one. even if it's an affordability pick.
