The affiliates won four of five games. Both Dunedin and Lansing came from behind to win. David Harris led the offense for Dunedin, driving in three runs. Lansing scored in the ninth and tenth in a team effort. New Hampshire split a doubleheader with Matt Newman helping win game two. Danny Barnes is looking good. Buffalo recorded a shutout led by Randy Wolf, Chris Dickerson had two hits.

Buffalo 2 Rochester 0

Randy Wolf went five, Preston Guilmet two, Gregory Infante and Bobby Korecky finished up.

The Bisons got on the board in the third, Sean Ochinko walked and later scored when Chris Dickerson singled. They doubled their lead in the fourth, Chris Colabello walked and Caleb Gindl tripled. The Bisons had just five hits, Dickerson had two of them.

New Britain 3 New Hampshire 0 - game 1

Not much to report in this game, the Fisher Cats had just three hits. Casey Lawrence started and went 6.1 innings.

New Britain 0 New Hampshire 4 - game 2

Turnabout in game 2. Dustin Antolin made the start but just went 2.2. Greg Burke followed and kept the shutout going. Danny Barnes pitched the last two innings with four K's. In 3.2 innings Barnes now has 8 K's. Could he be fully recovered and back to his form from a couple of years ago?

Matt Newman got the scoring started with a home run, he is now hitting 538 from the eight hole in the order. Kevin Nolan drove in two runs to make it 3-0 and Pierce Rankin drove in the final run. Newman had two hits.

Clearwater 5 Dunedin 6

The Jays scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to turn a one run deficit into a one run lead. David Harris drove in both runs. Harris also homered and is hitting .333 early in the season. Matt Dean and Andy Fermin also had two hits. Dawel Lugo was 1-3 and is hitting over .300. It is interesting to me that the Jays are batting him third, ahead of Dean and Nay. The Jays must think highly of him to put him in that slot.

New Jay Luis Santos started and went 4.2 innings. Newish Jay Tiago Da Silva pitched two innings in relief. Wil Browning got the save.

Lansing 4 Fort Wayne 3 - 10 innings

A run in the ninth to tie the game and a run in the tenth earned the win. The tying run was scored by DJ Davis who singled and later scored on an infield single. The winning run was scored by Rowdy Telez and came home on a sac fly by Danny Jansen.

Chase Mallard started and pitched five innings and did give up all three runs. Colton Turner pitched 3.1 shutout innings and Phil Kish got the last five outs.

Thank you Gerry.

Strange seeing Dustin Antolin starting, is it for real? Randy Wolfe looks close to MLB ready. Hopefully he sticks around long enough to be available if needed. As A.A. has said, the Starting Rotation depth is tissue-paper thin right now. Hopefully options will develop.

I believe Antolin only started because it was a doubleheader.

Great to see Danny Barnes pitching well in AA. He was outstanding from 2010 to 2012, and looks like he may finally be recovered from his arm troubles. He'll be in AAA soon if he keeps pitching like this, and he could get a shot in the Jays' pen sometime this year.
