There is nowhere near as much written about the Expos on the net as about the Jays, especially not in English, but here are some of the recent articles I've come across.

I'm sure many of you have seen this, but, I had managed to miss it - the Expos are back on English-speaking TV. The Score will carry 25 games, when the Jays are away. Even better, Darrin Fletcher is in the frame to be an announcer.

The Sports Network has a roundup of the organisations top prospects, Box favourite Terrmel Sledge is just fifth.

Expos moving rumour #2,000,001 has Las Vegas back in the mix, Ceasers entertainment are making plans for a $400 million retractable roof stadium near Bally's.

Chad Bentz debut is looked at by Stephanie Myles in The Gazette and Bill Ladson on the official site.

Ladson is clearly every bit as prolific as Spencer Fordin, he also has pieces on complete player Terrmel Sledge and the developing Expos-Marlins rivalry.

Finally, Frank Robinson is looking for a 15-9 start, despite only three games at Olympic Stadium and there is the CP piece on yesterdays victory over the Marlins.

Will there be slots parlors in Las Vegas Expos Park? Video poker at every seat? A sports book in the dugout? Pete Rose as manager? Inquiring minds want to know.

Actually ... betting on the outcome of each at-bat, inning, game, etc might add a lot of spice to a visit to the ole ballpark! It'd be easy to do with a terminal at each seat.

Y'know, the weird thing is I am starting to think that Las Vegas will end up with a big league team. Don't know if it will be the Expos as MLB seems to enjoy keeping that soap opera around but LV is sounding like it is saying what Bud wants to hear. Namely a new park and tons of cash flow.

From the first Ladson article:
The joke is on you: Cabrera and Everett helped TEAM 990 pull an April Fool's joke on Thursday. The radio station reported that Cabrera wanted to be traded after having a fight with Everett. Some news outlets in Canada took the joke seriously.

I had heard this story reported as truth but this is the first mention I've seen that it was actually a joke. With Everett, it was not hard to believe it.

MLB needs to solve this mess ASAP, the main reason being that I'm sick to death of hearing that "MLB needs to solve this mess ASAP."

I fell for the April Fools gag and reported it here. The next day I clued in and posted a retraction, sorry for the confusion. It was extremely telling that most people bought it...Though to his credit, Cabrera was very convincing.
