Here are some shots given to me by my photog friend, Jim Goins of Dunedin.  They are from the recent Dunedin Home Stand against St. Lucie and Clearwater (June 5 - June 10).

Big Mike McDade crushes one.  His Big Swing reminds me of Cecil Fielder in his hayday.

Big Mike McDade holds the runner close, the throw and...

"Runner, you're out"!

John Tolisano takes one for the team as the opponent slides into third.

Travis d'Arnaud takes one DEEP for the round tripper.

Tyle Pastornicky slides into third for a triple.

A-Heck (Adeiny Hechavarria) warms up at short.

This guy wears Blue Jay Blue, but he wasn't at the games in Dunedin.

Thanks mamboon and Jim, they look great.  You certainly can understand McDade's girth from that first picture.

Hey Gerry, thanks for the kind words.  But, speaking of girth, don't you like the figure flattering print that Don Cherry chose for his sportcoat?

By the way, there should be more photos on the way this next week when Dunedin returns home for five games.  Is there anybody in particular from Dunedin that Bauxites want to see?  Of course, you will have to put up with some shots of my main man, Mike "the Beast" McDade, but let me know who else you want to see.   Also, I am trying to line up some interviews.  Let me know if you want an interview from anybody in particular as well.

Thanks for the great pics :). Some really neat action shots of the baby Jays.

Great stuff, mamboon. Wouldnt mind seeing an interview with Big Mike McDade. He really seems to be becoming a top prospect in the system.

Could we get more of their face in the picture for some of them?

That's a little freaky, you'll get to see how cute they are on a regular basis if they ever reach the bigs. These body shots are great, and my vote goes to Hechevarria in terms of extended coverage, because I think we'd all like to learn as much about him as possible - maybe some different angles of his hitting approach as well as his defensive fielding and throwing position.

92-93,

We'll work on a photo feature on A-Hech.  Hopefully I can get something up on him later this week.

Some would say he is struggling: BA = .206,  OBP = .229,  OPS = .524,   AB = 136,  BB = 4,  SO = 22.  7 errors in the field.  He's only 2 for 25 in his last 6 games.

Hopefully, A-Hech will work through his current challenges. I think we all need to be patient with this kid as he works to live up to all of the hype.   I have seen him play several times... he's young, but the raw material is there.  He seems to have a great field presence.  I have seen flashes of great physical ability in him.  I think he is serious and relates well to his coaches and fellow players.  But most of all, the handlers in Dunedin appear to be doing a good job of helping him adjust to professional ball in the MILB.  Their job is not done, however.
