I posted this on the other thread, but it should be here:

More on Brett Cecil's good outing from John Lott via Twitter:    "Cecil escaped bases-loaded jam in 6th with K on high heater. Announcer Jerry Reuss likened Cecil's changeup to Frank Viola's.  According to radio guys, Cecil hitting 92-93 on LV gun in his no-decison last night: 7IP/7H/4R-3ER/2BB/9K."

Kyle Drabek had a terrible first game in AAA, giving up 15 baserunners in 4 innings, including 7 walks.

On the other hand, Justin Nicolino was outstanding in his first pro game, pitching 5 shutout innings for Vancouver.

If it weren't for bad luck....

Both Lawrie and Snider seemed on the virge of call-ups to the majors.  Both get hit by pitches and suffer scary injuries.  I'm not sure which injury I fear more - the broken hand/wrist or the concussion.  Both can seemingly linger in effect for months.

Four D-Jays played in the FSL All-Star Game.  A.J. Jimenez had the key hit in the game- a triple/error (coulda been inside-the-parker) off the centerfield wall. Deck McGuire pitched a scoreless inning, walking two and striking out the side.  Brad Glenn had an RBI double for an insurance run late and Wes Etheridge got the last out for the save.
