Lansing won their 1,500 game last night and your affiliates were 3-1.

Buffalo Bisons

Since his promotion from AA, Roemon Fields has continued to eke out hits. He now has hits in twelve straight games, including the go ahead hit and RBI in last night’s game.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats

Jon Harris got hit around. I’m not sure he’s ever going to be anything more than back-of-the-rotation cannon fodder. I’m not a big fan of the new drafting regime, especially so after the AA years. I suspect we’ll be in for “average-stuff college RHP” come draft time again this year.

**Correction: Jon Harris was not drafted by the current regime. I withdraw my outrage.

Dunedin Blue Jays

Troy Tulowitzki needs a promotion. Guy is too good for High A. He had two hits last night, while Ryan Borucki had a nice start, pitching five-and-a-third of one-run, five-strikeout baseball.

Lansing Lugnuts

The Lugnuts won their 1,500 game. Quite the season. Patrick Murphy went seven innings, allowing just three hits and one run. He walked none and struck out five. Murphy carried a perfect game into the sixth.

Three Stars

3. Luis Santos

2. Ryan Borucki

1. Patrick Murphy

Harris was drafted under AA.

I would tend to disagree regarding the FO and their draft, I quite liked this last draft class for them, early as it is, other than Woodman I would say.

Zeuch looks like he could be a fast riser, and of course Bichette, I even like Jackson as a reliever, who hopefully starts moving fast now that he seems to have better control/results.

The Alford call-up (likely 1 day) is a nice pat on the back move - hopefully he does well enough to merit a Sept. call up

Harris was not drafted by the current regime. Only the 2016 draft falls under their watch (Zeuch was the 1st round pick).

As far as Alford, I am a big fan of his. Five tool talent with legit upside. I would have waited until he had some AAA time before calling him up, but this looks like a temporary move due to injuries/suspensions, and he's already on the 40 man roster. Looks like he might be a legit 2018 OF option.

Rowdy Tellez homered to walk off the PawSox in the 13th. Winning pitcher was outfielder Ian Parmley. Andrew Guillotte was promoted to Buffalo from Dunedin.

Surprised that no-one has mentioned that Roemon Fields was 2/4 with 2 walks, raising his BA to .417. He also stole 3 bases.

True PeterG. He is getting the K Pillar treatment. His BB and SB totals are very respectable.

fields was so terrible in AA that it's hard to get interested in a 26yr old putting up a hot couple weeks in AAA.

on another note, danny jansen's hot bat has followed him up to AA, with a ripping 241wrc+ in his first 3gms.

It is true that many/most prospects don't work out.

I think Fields scores a lot of runs. 65 or in each of his 3 seasons.

Scoring runs could be a skill. Ricky H did that. He also disrupted the team when on base. However that is too high a standard.

Fields extended his heat streak to 14 games today. He could be a late bloomer. I think he has more chance of being a major leaguer than Smith.
