No sign of Austin Martin! Injured maybe? Promoted?

There's a legit Old Timey news headline, right there. Nice work!

Pitching does not look strong at AA. In general, I mean.
Chris Bec with his .482 OPS plays instead of Moreno and they still score 10 runs.

Too many walks, not enough strike outs for Johnston. Especially working out of the pen.

Martin took a pitch to the helmet a few days ago. Seemed OK, but pulled about an inning later and under protocol since.

Future Games roster spot for Martin, so maybe he’s temporarily off the NH list??

Martin is on the IL after being hit.

Morano is nursing an injury that is yet undetermined. As a result he was not named to the futures game roster.

"Pitching does not look strong at AA. In general, I mean"

Tonight will be the 20th time they play the AA Red Sox affiliate. The Yankees they've played 12 times. Mets, Rockies, O's 6 times.

So 2 months in, they've only faced 5 pitching staffs, and after tonight, 40% of their games will have been against 1 team. Impossible to tell from that how good AA pitching is in general, IMO.

Good news is that means Moreno and our other top prospects have pounded future Red Sox and Yankees mainly. It'll be interesting to see if this focused minors (less travel, against fewer teams) leads to screwed up stats or guys who really pound certain teams in the majors (extra familiarity with them).

Well poop.

#BlueJays prospect Gabriel Moreno has a fractured thumb, per Atkins, and he's expected to be out for "weeks." Tough break for a guy who has been on a tear in the minors and should be the club's catcher of the future.
