Dilson Herrera hit two home runs. Tyler White hit a grand slam but Buffalo lost. New Hampshire won but Vancouver and Dunedin had few hits and lost. The FCL Jays lost, but a Quebecer had three hits.

Buffalo 9 Lehigh Valley 10 - 10 innings

Hartford 5 New Hampshire 8

Hillsboro 5 Vancouver 3

Dunedin 3 Fort Myers 4

FCL Blue Jays 6 FCL Tigers 11

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

The Bisons fought back from a 7-0 deficit and tied the game in the ninth inning. But after scoring one in the top of the tenth, they gave up two in the bottom of the inning. Bowden Francis cruised through two innings but ran into trouble in the third giving up six runs which ended with a grand slam. Another run in the fourth made it four innings pitched, seven runs allowed.

Dilson Herrera hit a three run home run to get the comeback started and added a solo shot in the ninth to tie the game. Tyler White hit a grand slam in the seventh, one of his three hits.

The Fisher Cats scored three in the first inning highlighted by a two run single from Kevin Vicuna. Vicuna ended at 3-4 with 4 RBI. Jordan Groshans was 3-5. Vinny Capra had one hit, a solo home run.

Luis Quinones had 10 strikeouts in 4.2 innings. He walked three but needed 90 pitches to get through 4.2 innings.

The C's were up 3-0 after five but lost. Paxton Schultz went 5.1 innings and gave up one run. Gabriel Ponce took the loss.

The C's had six hits. Zac Cook drove in two runs. Orelvis and Will Robertson were hitless.

Only four hits for the D Jays, all singles. Michael Dominguez started and gave up two runs in 3.1 innings.

Dahian Santos gave up one run in four innings but the pitchers who followed him were not so good. JC Masson, selected in the 2019 draft from Quebec was 3-5 with two doubles. He has just six at-bats this season so he must have been injured. Emmanuel Sanchez also had two hits. Jaden Rudd, this years seventh round pick, hit a home run. Juan Gonzalez, 19th round pick was 2-2. The Cuban, Adriel Sotolongo, was also 2-2.

Three Stars

Just looked at our draft signings. We did not sign 3 picks.

Round 16 very young RHP.

Round 17 University LHP that had TJ in March this year. He should have signed $125,000 is good money. He will be in the 2023 or 2024 draft. He would have to get picked in round 1-5 to get $500,000 +. As an older college pitcher when drafted again. I guess that he believes in himself. Chad Dallas is basically the same age.

Round 20 HS pitcher wanted a very big bonus.

I believe that #17 Cooper Benson from Arizona State is signed for $125,000. I know there is a list that shows him unsigned but it is in error I think as both Baseball America and Sportrac list him as signed. In addition, his Twitter shows him as a Blue Jay with a post about being happy to have signed with the organization.

There is no stand alone minor league update today.

On Saturday the Bisons won with Richard Urena and Tyler White having three hits each. New Hampshire, Vancouver and Dunedin all lost without stand out performances. JJ D'Orazio had two hits for Dunedin including his first home run.
