Buffalo received excellent pitching and won. Chavez Young drove in three runs for New Hampshire but the bullpen blew up late. Vancouver won behind CJ Van Eyk. Dunedin scored a run in the ninth to tie the game and a run in the tenth to win. The FCL Jays won with Dahian Santos pitching well.

Buffalo 3 Syracuse 1

New Hampshire 3 Hartford 5

Tri-City 2 Vancouver 5

Fort Myers 4 Dunedin 5 - 10 innings

FCL Yankees 1 FCL Blue Jays 4

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Zach Logue had another good start. In 5.1 innings Worcester scored one run off three hits. His AAA ERA is down to 3.33. Logue's peripheral's are not outstanding. The lefty probably needs another half year to a year in AAA. AJ Cole and CJ Edwards each pitched an inning as their rehab continues.

Forrest Wall and Josh Palacios each had two hits. Wall drove in a run. Richard Urena doubled in a run.

Elvis Luciano came off the IL to pitch one inning. He did strike out the side. Nick Fraze made his second AA appearance and it went better than his first. He threw 4.1 innings, with two runs scored on five hits. He also struck out five. Both efforts went to waste when the bullpen coughed up a 3-2 lead by allowing three runs in the eighth.

Chavez Young was 3-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI. He also threw out a runner at third. Ryan Gold had two hits.

CJ Van Eyk went five strong innings with six K's. A two run home run in his fifth inning accounted for the only runs he allowed.

The C's had eight hits, Tanner Morris and Spencer Horwitz had two each. They both scored a run and drove in a run. Horwitz hit his fifth home run of the season, a solo shot.

The D- Jays scored one in the ninth to tie on a Miguel Hiraldo single and another in the tenth to win, this time a Harry Ray single. After I said Miguel Hiraldo wasn't living up to his prospect ranking yesterday, he was 3-4 on Friday. His was the only multi hit game.

Michael Dominguez started and allowed two runs in 4.2 innings.

Dahian Santos pitched three shutout innings and struck out seven for the FCL Jays. Santos has thrown just 28.2 innings this season but has a WHIP of 1.01 and a K9 of 13.5. An excellent first season for the 18 year old Venezuelan. The Jays had just six hits, all singles. Gabriel Martinez had two hits and is hitting .337.
