Buffalo won both ends of a doubleheader. They held Worcester to one run in each game. Vancouver were rained out again. A friend told me it rains twice in Vancouver, once for two months and once for three months. Maybe our west coasters can confirm. New Hampshire and Dunedin had the day off.

Worcester 1 Buffalo 2 - game one

Worcester 1 Buffalo 2 - game two

New Hampshire - day off

Spokane at Vancouver - rained out, again

Dunedin - day off

Three Stars

Third Star - Addison Barger

Second Star - Yosver Zulueta

First Star - Nathan Lukes

Boxes

NOTES

Yosver Zulueta went three shutout innings. His fastball averaged 95, topping out at 97. However he threw more sliders than any other pitch. He got five whiffs on the slider. Reportedly Zulueta will stay pitching fewer innings than you would expect of a starter to get him to the end of the season.

Nate Pearson bounced back with a clean inning, three strikeouts. He was averaging 98 mph on his FB.

Nate Lukas is back in the lineup. He had two hits in game one including the walk off winning single.

Addison Barger went 1-3 and 2-3 to get his average up to .320.

Jay Jackson got the save in game two. He threw 14 pitches, 2 FB and 12 sliders. He seems to be first in line for a reliever call up.

A day off for every Toronto team.

The Jay's record is V good for a 10 game road trip.

The Buffalo prospects are off to a good start. Otto, Barger, Zulueta, Pearson and maybe a few others.

The NH prospects are also doing well. Jimenez and Palmegiani.

The Dunedin prospects as well. Both Catchers, Beltre, Toman.

Vancouver is supposed to be loaded with good prospects.

To translate from Vancouver English to Toronto English. "Rain" means "Heavy driving rain". "Drizzle" means consistent rain with totally overcast skies but no heavy winds". Vancouver has one drizzle of five months in addition to the rains of two months and three months.

Kloffenstein starts for NH today. I am glad that he is still starting. Some Vancouver SPs will probably earn promotions by mid year. Kloffenstein has to prove himself fast.

One name I am a little surprised to see released is Edisson Gonzalez. Always put up great K/BB numbers although also injured a lot.

Curious to see if Jiorgeny Casimiri shows up on any roster at some point, I like cheering for players from countries where baseball isn't very popular.

Edisson's stuff did not match up to his numbers... FB rarely, if ever, broke 89 mph. And the secondary stuff wasn't sharp enough to play at upper levels. He also had zero projection on the body and was rather unathletic and stiff.
