Twelve runs on twelve hits for the Bisons. Leo Jimenez hit two home runs, driving in three. Cam Eden came to the plate in the sixth with the bases loaded and the Bisons trailing 7-4. He hit a grand slam to give Buffalo the lead. Spencer Horwitz and Nathan Lukes had their usual two hits each. Orelvis didn't start, pinch hit and was hit by a pitch and removed from the game.
Aaron Sanchez made his first start of the season. He had a bad second inning, the first seven hitters all reached with four hits and three walks. Sanchez went four innings, six runs allowed.
CJ Van Eyk has had an up and down season. He was excellent on Friday, five innings of one hit ball with six K's. He is piggybacking with Trent Palmer. Palmer took the loss with his own bad outing.
Josh Kasevich had his usual two hits. Devonte Brown was 3-4. Brown started the season slowly, he was hitting .200 on April 26th. But he has been on fire since then. He is hitting .360 for May. But....he hasn't walked, he is striking out at 40%, and he has a 600 BABIP in May. Enjoy it while it lasts Devonte.
Trailing 3-1 in the eighth, Vancouver scored two in the eighth and a walk off run in the ninth. Ryan McCarty was the walk off hero, doubling in the winning run with two outs. It was one of his three hits. Brennan Orf hit a two run home run in the eighth.
Chris McElvain laboured through 3.2 innings, four hits and four walks led to two runs.
Fernando Perez started for Dunedin, he gave up three runs on seven hits in 5.1 innings. The Jays trailed 3-0 until the eighth when Victor Arias tripled in a run and scored on an error. In the ninth the Jays had the bases loaded with no outs but they just scored one run to tie the game. Fort Myers scored in the bottom of the ninth for the win.
