NOTES

17 runs and 19 hits for Buffalo. Home runs by Orelvis Martinez, Will Wagner, Will Robertson and Alan Roden. Roden had 4 hits and five RBI. Robertson had three hits, four hitters had two.

11 hits and nine runs for Vancouver. Home runs for Sean Keys, Eddie Micheletti Jr. and Aaron Parker. Parker went 3-5 with four RBI. Adrian Pinto and Jackson Hornung had two hits each.

Grant Rogers went five innings, seven K's and just one unearned run. He made two errors.

Dunedin scored nine runs with 16 hits but no home runs. Bryce Arnold had three hits, five hitters had two.

Khal Stephen didn't really need all those runs. He held Fort Myers to one run over 5.1 innings, striking out five.

The FCL Jays won in the most FCL way possible. They walked off the Yankees thanks to a walk, a passed ball, a balk, another walk and a wild pitch. Yorman Licourt and Dariel Ramon had two hits each. Both of them are hitting over .300. David Beckles homered.

Landen Maroudis went three shutout innings, three K's. Eric Swanson faced four hitters, two of whom homered and doubled.

Hopefully, Roden turns it around quickly and is back up and hitting. Robertson also seems to have found different level this year giving Jays like 10 viable 5th Ofers. Really think a big reason Clase is up now is that there isn't room for all those guys in AAA right now. Roden, Loperfido, Tirotta, and Robertson are all deserving of regular time. The inability to find a trade partner (surely, there are teams looking for cheap OF depth with some upside) is baffling. Jays have tons of needs including just prospect depth at other positions and levels. There must be plenty of fits with other teams.

I wouldn't worry about Tirotta or Robertson. Tirotta turns 27 later this year and has only played 30 games in the outfield in 4+ years. He's not really good defensively anywhere.

Robertson is already 27 and very streaky. Both are fine depth pieces but they're up/down, injury fill-in types.

Has anyone heard anything about Johnny King? Hasn't pitched yet for FCL and didn't hear about him in spring anywhere.

And ten minutes later, King enters the game.

BA mentioned he was up to 97 this spring

Wishing the best for King's arm health. He seems like a prime candidate for TJ in the coming years.

Former NYY prospect David Beckles has had the hottest start so far for the FCL hitters. 1.220 OPS in a very small sample size. Him and Licourt are both 21, so need to show what they can do pretty quick.
