Boxscores

Notes

Phil Clarke had two hits and Will Robertson doubled and walked twice. Ali Sánchez singled home the winning run in the seventh after an Orelvis Martinez sacrifice fly. Riley Tirotta and Michael Stefanic also had base knocks. Robinson Piña gave up a solo homer in two innings along with another hit and a walk but struck out four. Anders Tolhurst put up six goose eggs in relief by throwing a one-hitter. He still faced the minimum 18 batters and struck out six. Dillon Tate gave up a hit but struck out one for the save.

Jace Bohrofen and Gabby Martinez had two-hit games with each belting a homer. For Bohrofen, it was his 10th round-tripper of the year. Eddinson Paulino and Cade Doughty also had a pair of knocks with Doughty getting a double. Trey Yesavage tossed two shutout innings but only got one out in the third, giving up four runs on four hits, including a homer. He also walked two and struck out three. Pat Gallagher supplied 3-2/3 shutout innings and struck out four and Johnathan Lavallee recorded four outs without getting scored upon. Justin Kelly took the loss.

Vancouver lost its 17th one-run game this season. Victor Arias had two hits, including a triple, but he was thrown out at the plate trying to score on a shallow fly ball to right. The Everett catcher had trouble corralling the ball at first, leading Arias to gamble by going home but he was still tagged out easily by the pitcher covering the plate. Arjun Nimmala got his first hit of the homestand and scored on an Eddie Micheletti sacrifice fly. Jackson Wentworth gave up a solo homer among six hits and two runs total on six hits but he did not walk a batter and struck out three. Irv Carter worked around four hits and a walk and struck out two in three shutout stanzas.

Manuel Beltre homered and walked twice and Alexis Hernández singled and walked twice for perfect days at the plate. Eduardo Duran had two hits and Tucker Toman had one. Sam Shaw was 0-for-5. Landen Maroudis was roughed up for six runs on three hits and four walks and did not strike out anybody in 1-1/3 innings. Amir Garrett pitched a goose egg with one strikeout and Nate LaRue fanned three in two scoreless frames.

Yorman Licourt had three doubles and three runs batted in to highlight a 4-for-4 day with a walk. Raimundo De La Santos had two hits, a walk and a stolen base. Braden Barry was activated from the injured list and drew two walks and stole two bases. Sann Omasako allowed one run on five hits over five innings and struck out five with no walks to get the win.

In the Dominican, Franklin Rojas had a three-hit day, including a homer, and Juarlin Soto walked it off with a single in the eighth inning for the Blue Squad. Angel Guzman had a single and stole two bases. Juan Ramirez pitched a shutout frame with two punchouts to get the win. For the Red squad, Kennew Blanco had two doubles and Diego Arce and Juan Felipe also put a two in the hit column. Also of note, there is Wilmer Blanca on the Red squad roster just to create enough confusion while perusing the boxscore.

Looks like Pina got the "start", but only went two innings on 37 pitches, despite pitching well. They might be prepping him for a bullpen callup.

Still half of the AAA season to play. Tolhurst, Van Eyk, Kloffenstein & Estrada are adjusting well. All are having some 5/6 IP 1/2ER games. I expect an ML callup for some if they can have a few good games in a row. I see them as relievers in the ML.
