NOTES

Jose Berrios did not favours for Buffalo, he was charged with all seven Scranton runs.

Buffalo had six hits, all singles. Jevon Ward had two.

The first New Hampshire game was a continuation of yesterdays game where a Nick Goodwin home run had NH in the lead. Eddie Micheletti added his own two run home run to get NH to the four runs needed for a win. Those two two run home runs, were the only hits in the game for the Fisher Cats.

The hitting was not much better in game two, the Cats were limited to four hits, all singles. Adrian Pinto had two hits and walked twice.

Jackson Wentworth was the game two starter. He did go five innings but gave up six hits. He only struck out two.

It was the first post-Nimmala game for Vancouver and they lost. It was a quiet game with the C's scoring three runs with eight hits. Dub Gleed who probably should be in AA had two hits as did Matt Scannell.

Daniel Guerra went 3.2 innings with four K's. It was an average start with three hits and three walks allowed in his 3.2 innings.

Dunedin's shortcomings on offense continue. Until the ninth inning their two runs came from a two run bomb by Addison Barger. They did score three consolation runs in the ninth thanks to four walks and two hit batters, three runs but no hits! In the game they had four hits.

Silvano Hechavarria got the rehab start, he went four perfect innings with two K's. Jupiter than scored eight runs off the bullpen .

Perez had 28 BB in 121 innings last year. He has 16 BB in 12.2 IP this year. Control of the strike zone is the most critical part of his game, so really curious what happened there.

Not the best week on the farm overall (in what has been a decently positively year).

First month on the books.

Asterisk = promoted
Double Asterisk = demoted

(only minimum 5pa at level shown)

AAA

C Simoneit (29): 54pa, 7.4b%, 29.6k%, .452bip, .313avg, .229iso, 142wrc+
OF Pinango* (24): 92pa, 10.9b%, 23.9k%, .357bip, .288avg, .200iso, 125wrc+

Simoneit's a babip fluke of course but his track record ain't terrible for a catcher so might be useful depth at some point.

Pinango looking good so far in first taste of the bigs.

3B McAdoo (24): 121pa, 13.2b%, 20.7k%, .270bip, .243avg, .204iso, 111wrc+
SS Kasevich (25): 120pa, 10.0b%, 12.5k%, .308bip, .271avg, .121iso, 102wrc+

McAdoo has slowed since his torrid start. Kasevich has his line back to his usual averagish production - still waiting on even a small power breakout from him.

1B Tirotta (27): 98pa, 11.2b%, 35.7k% .326bip, .224avg, .165iso, 94wrc+

OF Schreck (25): 120pa, 17.5b%, 17.5k%, .151bip, .146avg, .125iso, 61wrc+
OF Clase (24): 38pa, 15.8b%, 26.3k%, .190bip, .161avg, .097iso, 54wrc+

Only guys to care about here are Schreck and Clase. Schreck's getting babipped for sure but that can only be an excuse for so long. Clase still injured.

Nice to see Munguia get bumped up from AA. I think he actually has an MLB bench OF skillset so no use seeing a 27yr old waste away in AA. See if he can get hot in AAA and make himself interesting.

C Hackenberg (26): 13pa, 7.7b%, 38.5k%, .286bip, .167avg, .083iso, 28wrc+

AA

Age Appropriate

IF Coffey (22): 87pa, 11.5b%, 41.4k%, .350bip, .187avg, .080iso, 53wrc+

He's shown some small signs of life lately but just a terrible start for Cutter.

Slightly Old for Level

1B Keys (23): 105pa, 12.4b%, 26.7k%, .360bip, .310avg, .356iso, 174wrc+
IF Pinto (23): 15pa, 26.7b%, 13.3k%, .250bip, .273avg, .273iso, 168wrc+
IF Harry (23): 56pa, 5.4b%, 30.4k%, .486bip, .327avg, .115iso, 112wrc+
C Parker (23): 61pa, 19.7b%, 21.3k%, .343bip, .265avg, .061iso, 111wrc+
OF Burgos (23): 54pa, 16.7b%, 11.1k%, .231bip, .205avg, .045iso, 67wrc+

Keys slowing a bit but still crushing it.

More encouraging for me is seeing Pinto return from injury red hot in his first look at the very tough AA level. This guy may well be a legit top prospect.

Parker's line is fine for a catcher i guess.

Old for Level

OF Bohrofen (24): 109pa, 14.7b%, 34.9k%, .364bip, .258avg, .337iso, 152wrc+
C Planchart (24): 21pa, 19.0b%, 23.8k%, .500bip, .375avg, .000iso, 139wrc+
OF Micheletti (24): 101pa, 15.8b%, 19.8k%, .305bip, .265avg, .205iso, 128wrc+
C Stone (24): 21pa, 4.8b%, 4.8k%, .368bip, .368avg, .105iso, 121wrc+
IF Goodwin (24): 64pa, 15.6b%, 18.8k%, .243bip, .200avg, .140iso, 102wrc+

Bohrofen and Micheletti continue to look excellent. I see more promise in Micheletti tho tbh due to hsi much better K rate and less reliance on babip. bump these guys up whenever.

the catchers are fluky but hey keep catchers around if they can hit even a bit.

Goodwin's line probably a bit babip suppressed so far. also wouldn't hesitate to bump him up at this age.

Too Old for Level

C Winkel (26): 21pa, 23.8b%, 19.0k%, .417bip, .313avg, .125iso, 154wrc+
OF Munguia* (27): 68pa, 11.8b%, 10.3k%, .360bip, .345avg, .109iso, 128wrc+
1B Hornung (25): 108pa, 8.3b%, 26.9k%, .388bip, .286avg, .163iso, 110wrc+
OF Ward* (26): 27pa, 11.1b%, 44.4k%, .500bip, .250avg, .042iso, 74wrc+
UT McCarty* (27): 5pa, 40.0b%, 20.0k%, .000bip, .000avg, .000iso, 72wrc+
IF Doughty (25): 39pa, 12.8b%, 30.8k%, .318bip, .206avg, .029iso, 55wrc+

Munguia was the only name here i had my eye on so nice to see him promoted.

A+

Young for Level

SS Nimmala* (20): 105pa, 15.2b%, 22.9k%, .283bip, .241avg, .241iso, 131wrc+

For me, this isn't a promotion-worthy line, but stats are just stats after all. Maybe the pitchers in the league are pitching him too carefully for him to be getting tested the way he needs to be. I dunno.

Age Appropriate

1B Chirinos (21): 46pa, 4.3b%, 39.1k%, .364bip, .238avg, .214iso, 108wrc+

just returned from injury.

C Duran (22): 12pa, 0.0b%, 33.3k%, .000bip, .000avg, .000iso, -100wrc+

Toman too babippy to get excited about yet.

Any word on Duran's injury?

UT Freethy (23): 99pa, 20.2b%, 29.3k%, .250bip, .156avg, .026iso, 74wrc+

Gleed picking it up that last little while. Hernandez too. Latta still fine. All these guys could be promoted whenever.

Freethy struggling, but the org seems to belive in him because they're batting him first in the lineup most every game.

Too Old for Level

UT Cunningham (25): 124pa, 14.5b%, 27.4k%, .383bip, .293avg, .283iso, 174wrc+

Very Young for Level

IF Sanchez (18): 57pa, 10.5b%, 28.1k%, .176bip, .120avg, .020iso, 20wrc+

tough start for the kid but not remotely anything to be concerned about.

Parker slowed way down, but still both him and Bullard putting in a very nice performance for their age.

would be cool to see Smith get an undeserved promotion just to finally have a level fully clear of "too old" players.

The FCL Jays won today. The starting pitcher was 19 yo Giacomo Taschin from Italy. Another international signing.

Taschin signed in April 2025 but didn't play last year. He has played for Italy at various under age levels.

seeing what it would like like if I bumped all the olds and too olds up a level, deserving or not. I'll leave the slightly olds at their level for now. i guess the catchers screw up this excercise tho.

Guest: Thoughts on Arjun Nimmala’s start to the year + the move to AA

Brendan Gawlowski: He’s been good, particularly over the last three weeks or so. I don’t think this is hasty. I suspect he’s not going to move super quickly through the upper minors and that his profile will look better and better as he gets stronger.
