NOTES
The Buffalo game was scoreless through six innings then the Bisons scored 12 runs in the last three innings. The scoreless run was due to Josh Fleming going seven innings with just two hits allowed and no walks. He struck out seven. Fleming has had only one shot at the major leagues since 2024 but he seems to be doing well in Buffalo.
For the offense Josh Rivera drove in the first two runs and three of the first six. Carlos Mendoza drove in five including a three run home run in the ninth. Josh Kasevich had his usual two hits and Davis Schneider walked four times.
Buffalo scored late, New Hampshire scored early, they were up 6-0 after two innings. Every starting position player had reached base after those two innings except for Eddie Micheletti Jr. The offense took a rest until the eighth where they scored eight more runs with Sean Keys, Cutter Coffey and Patrick Winkel hitting home runs. Jace Bohrofen, Adrian Pinto and Victor Arias each had three hits.
Austin Cates had another good start for New Hampshire. This was his fifth start and in it he was charged with two runs in 4.1 innings. In his first three starts in AA Cates gave up ten runs in 12.1 innings with seven strikeouts. In his last two starts he has allowed three runs in 10.1 innings with 14 K's.
Vancouver had 13 hits in their win. Dub Gleed had a big game, he was 4-5 with a double and the C's only home run. Alexis Hernandez, Manny Beltre and Brennan Orf had two hits each.
Daniel Guerra struck out ten in six innings. Tri-City scored two runs off him with two hits. Guerra has 70 K's this season in 51 innings and has just given up 41 hits. His area for improvement is walks, 25 in 51 innings is high.
For Dunedin, Troy Guthrie started the season with a 3.00 ERA in April but that jumped up to 5.56 in May. June is off to a better start, he threw six shutout innings with eight K's.
The D Jays had ten hits with eight of the nine starters getting at least one. Juan Sanchez stayed hot with a single and a double, the only player with two hits. Blaine Bullard and Alejandro Kirk homered.
Jojo Parker was 1-2 with two walks. His average is .229 and his OPs is .735. But he has a large left vs right split. He is hitting .250 vs RHP with a .791 OPS. But just .115 vs LHP with a .425 OPS. Obviously an area for improvement.
