Minor League Update Cardinals at Jays: July 31 - Aug 2. Trade Watch
The Cardinals come into town four days before the trade deadline. Per my proprietary trade calculator there is a 70% chance of at least one Blue Jay trade happening before this series ends. Monday is "THE BIG DAY" but you can't leave it all until the end, right? Plenty of Jays will be in the shop window this weekend, will that help or hiner the teams performance?

SCHEDULE

Friday: Leahy vs Cease

Saturday: Mathews vs Gausman

Sunday: McGreevy vs Scherzer


St Louis are one game under .500 and in the National League that puts them three games out of the wild card spot.

From the standpoint of wanting to see him make (presumptively) one final start in a Jays uniform, I hope Gausman starts tomorrow.

From the standpoint of whether a seller should use a starting pitcher who is their best asset 48 hours before the trade deadline, I hope he doesn't.

at some point in the game Schneider should let Gausman do a mound visit and get his standing-O on his way back to dugout
