NOTES

In Buffalo's first game Charlotte scored nine runs in their first four innings and cruised from there. Grant Rogers was the victim, he was charged with nine runs in three innings. John Klein followed and he gave up one run in his three innings.

Davis Schneider had two of Buffalo's four hits. He also walked. One of his hits was a home run, the Bisons only run.

I am not sure why Charlotte scheduled a day/night doubleheader for Saturday with no game on Sunday. Perhaps it was due to the Carolina Panthers playing a home game on Sunday. In any event Lenyn Sosa hit a home run in the second inning just before heavy rains came. The game was cancelled and Sosa's home run vanished into the ether.

Fernando Perez made his first start for NH since May 2nd and it seems as though little has changes. Perez did go three innings with three hits, three walks and three K's. The three K's are a positive. He gave up two runs but Alex Amalfi, who followed, gave up seven.

NH scored two runs in the fourth inning. A Carter Cunningham double drove in the first run and Tucker Toman singled to make it two. Peyton Williams doubled in the third run in the eighth. In total NH had eight hits, Dub Gleed had two.

No minor league baseball today. Buffalo played a doubleheader yesterday and today's New Hampshire game has been cancelled. New Hampshire's season is now over.

IF Harry (23): 214pa, 4.7b%, 15.9k%, .312bip, .282avg, .174iso, 108wrc+

Harry finally petering out down the stretch. Still a great season for him though.

Slightly Old for good prospect

(OF Bateman* (24): 359pa, 17.3b%, 18.7k%, .389bip, .311avg, .106iso, 124wrc+)
(3B McAdoo* (24): 385pa, 12.5b%, 22.3k%, .316bip, .269avg, .196iso, 122wrc+)

OF Clase (24): 217pa, 12.9b%, 24.9k%, .281bip, .223avg, .136iso, 82wrc+

All of them showed something this year.

Old for a good prospect

OF Schreck (25): 242pa, 17.4b%, 18.6k%, .254bip, .223avg, .166iso, 110wrc+

(IF Rivera** (25): 356pa, 8.7b%, 32.6k%, .298bip, .214avg, .158iso, 72wrc+)

Tough write off year for Schreck in what should have been a breakthrough year. Tough.

Kasevich needs something more.

Make it or break it

OF Cameron (29): 103pa, 13.6b%, 19.4k%, .409bip, .337avg, .202iso, 158wrc+

OF Santander (31): 7pa, 0.0b%, 4.3k%, .167bip, .143iso, -31wrc+

Schneider definitely earned a callup. Would be super cool if he shows value down the stretch despite the rough year.

Age Appropriate

IF Snow (22): 118pa, 8.5b%, 18.6k%, .262bip, .217avg, .094iso, 60wrc+

Pretty depressing stuff from this group. Not much choice but to keep them here to start next year and hope.

Slightly Old for Level

(3B Keys* (23): 209pa, 13.4b%, 24.4k%, .327bip, .285avg, .297iso, 158wrc+)

(OF Bateman* (23): 396pa, 15.4b%, 20.7k%, .339bip, .261avg, .046iso, 116wrc+)

OF Perez (23): 175pa, 13.7b%, 29.1k%, .301bip, .227avg, .193iso, 103wrc+
IF Pinto (23): 178pa, 14.0b%, 16.9k%, .288bip, .240avg, .147iso, 102wrc+
(OF Calabrese** (23): 261pa, 9.2b%, 19.5k%, .260bip, .221avg, .130iso, 76wrc+)
UT Freethy (23): 116pa, 9.5b%, 20.7k%, .247bip, .198avg, .059iso, 55wrc+

Given how well Bateman Keys Harry did at higher levels this year you'd think Hernandez, Gleed, Parker could succeed there too.

I'm not giving up on Pinto yet either.

Old for Level

OF Bohrofen (24): 197pa, 11.2b%, 34.0k%, .333bip, .253avg, .324iso, 140wrc+
(IF Goodwin* (24): 312pa, 12.8b%, 20.5k%, .306bip, .264avg, .218iso, 123wrc+)
C Planchart (24): 37pa, 16.2b%, 29.7k%, .421bip, .276avg, .000iso, 100wrc+
C Sharp (24): 28pa, 7.1b%, 25.0k%, .263bip, .192avg, .115iso, 48wrc+

Hopefully Bohrofen is healthy enough to start next year in AAA. Goodwin should be there too.

Too Old for Level

1B Williams (25): 15pa, 20.0b%, 33.3k%, .400bip, .273avg, .455iso, 202wrc+
(OF Martin* (30): 207pa, 16.4b%, 23.7k%, .336bip, .261avg, .145iso, 115wrc+)
OF Cunningham (25): 280pa, 11.8b%, 33.9k%, .351bip, .241avg, .203iso, 111wrc+
OF Vallee (25): 78pa, 9.0b%, 17.9k%, .393bip, .314avg, .043iso, 107wrc+
IF Rivera (25): 12pa, 0.0b%, 25.0k%, .250bip, .182avg, .000iso, 24wrc+

I wonder if Williams showed just enough in his underserved late season promotions to stick around another year.

I always have a dream that they will clear out most of the vet clutter from the minors and play the more age appropriate guys. It's pretty clarifying when they do....even in a bad way, like that group of 22yr olds in AA this year.

Possible Rosters to start next year, if Keys makes the big club.
