Okay, Bauxites, lay it on the line ... what chance do the Jays have to make the playoffs THIS year?
| I believe! They're in, baby! | 6 (3.59%) |
| 50/50 -- and only if Doc comes back strong. | 16 (9.58%) |
| Very little chance, but it's not time to give up yet. | 96 (57.49%) |
| No chance. It's a nice team, but keep building for '06. | 49 (29.34%) |

I voted the very little chance option. Obviously the series starting tonight against the Yankee's will determine whaether they can continue to even be considered in the hunt for a spot.
I pretty much think they have to get the sweep. Its going to come down to pitching performance from each side.

Although the past 4 games have been diappointing, even disheartening, I took a little step back and realized how wonderful it is to be able to even ask such a question on August 22nd.
How easy it is to forget the awful record the Jays amassed last year and to remember my thinking in March and April - that I would be pleased if the Jays could finish with a record this year of no worse than 4 or 5 games under .500 and would be delighted if they could actually finish over that mark.
Playoffs in '05 - highly unlikely, but be proud of how well the team has done, especially given the time that Doc has been out and how long the Jays have been running a rotation of rookies and journeymen.
