Take a moment to reflect that they're worse in Montreal.

The Expos have won just two games, dropped their last six and can't score runs. In six games in hitting friendly Hiram Bithorn stadium they managed just four, since then they have five in their last two games, but have conceded ten to the Phillies.

The individual hitters stats do not paint a pretty picture:

Schneider .179/.259/.148
Wilkerson .342/.258/.194
Vidro .378/.389/.250
Batista .152/.273/.152
Cabrera .267/.341/.250
Everett .281/.400/.233
Bergeron .225/.205/.205
Sledge .100/.000/.000
Rivera .235/.294/.235

The 2-9 record is good for a .182 winning percentage, that's actually outperforming the pythagorean winning percentage which stands at a gaudy .127.

When things get bad they can always be worse - Crazy Carl Everett has landed on the DL for four weeks with a right shoulder injury. Outfielder Matt Cepicky was up at 3:45am to replace Everett on the roster.

There is some good news for the offense as Nick Johnson should be ready for the Montreal Home Opener on Friday.

The FieldTurf surface at Hiram Bithorn was criticised by Art Howe after the first series of the year. Howe compared it to sand and said it was the slowest artificial surface he has ever seen. Olympic Stadium will have the same FieldTurf surface this year, installed on a removable pallet.

Relocation Watch: Bud Selig sat in with the TBS announcers during the Mets-Braves game on Jackie Robinson day. He stressed that he intends to have the Expos new home decided by the middle of the season and made it clear that New Jersey - which has recently been put forward as another area seeking a team - was not being considered. It's gotta be Vegas Baby!

The plot from Major League will finally work. This team is going to be so bad that the media is going to FINALLY crank up the pressure to end this Montreal/San Juan nonsense.

So I guess it is New Jersey for the Expos then. After all, if Bud says it won't happen then it is sure to happen eh?

Um... is it just me or the player stats look weird?

Are we looking at AVG/OBP/SLG?

OBP/SLG/OPS?

Or some other concoction? Maybe a GPA somewhere?

I'm terribly confused, especially with Sledge's 100/000/000 line.

Young - it's OBP/SLG/AVG. I missed off the column labels, sorry. Its not the normal order I know, but, I copied/pasted from mlb.com and that's the order they have them in.

Gwyn, thanks. It was quite difficult to decipher.
