With 6 weeks of minor league ball in the books, it seems like a good time to look at some component stats for the Jays farmhands. Only batters with 80 or more plate appearances at a given level were included. The final row in each table is the league average in 2003 for the category in question.

I hadn't noticed how low Robinson Diaz' strikeout rate was until I saw this chart. Given the tough context, .039 is an impressive number. Right now, that's about all he's got going offensively, but he's a young catcher who seems to be handling the staff well, and his offensive record last year in Pulaski was good. He's on my list of players to watch for.

Roberts seems to be really coming on as one of the Jays best prospects, eh? Not bad for an 18th rounder last year. Anyone know how he is adapting to 2B? I guess the biggest question for a former 3B would be range and the double play as you would assume the arm would be good enough.

Interesting stuff. Nice job Robert.

Couple observations:

* Ryan Roberts certainly looks like he should be in Dunedin.

* Rios still needs time in AAA

* Both Adams and Hill are putting up nice walk and strikeout numbers. Tingler is as well.
