Updates, roster shuffles and several points of interest and importance for Bauxites: read on for some Batter's Box news.

First of all, our organizational depth chart has been updated and upgraded, thanks largely to the efforts of Kent Williams and Gerry MacDonald. You'll find the most recent roster moves reflected on the chart (e.g., Francisco Rosario to New Hampshire), which will be updated fairly regularly as player movement dictates. It's not official and it's not going to be up-to-the-minute, but it's still an excellent resource for those wondering where to find a player. Thanks to Kent and Gerry!

Our minor-league roster has also been expanded and strengthened with some recent additions. Jonny German, already a full-time Roster member, has joined our regular daily minor-league update rotation, along with new Roster members Mike Green and Ryan Lehmann (Ryan01), who also will be contributing an update once a week. These folks join myself and Gerry MacDonald on the weekly updates; our rotating backup roster, whose members will post updates once a month, includes Craig Burley, John Neary and Steve Z. I don't think any Website can boast a better team of minor-league experts; to our new additions, welcome aboard!

Finally, our new Legal and Privacy Policy is in place: I'd ask everyone who visits Batter's Box to please take a few minutes now and read it. Among the highlights:

- a reminder not to post a message by impersonating a real person (discussed in more detail here);
- a strict admonition to not post spam -- we'll consider advertising requests, but we'll immediately delete unsolicited ads; and
- a general explanation of the legal rights and responsibilities of both hosts and guests at Batter's Box.

If you have any questions about the Legal & Privacy Policy, send them to myself or Craig (our e-addresses are on the Roster page). More news to come as the Cabal dictates (there is no Cabal).

I want to add a personal note to this.

We are reasonable people, and we're just trying to hold together the best community we can. If you have concerns about any of this stuff, let us know, either in this thread, elsewhere, or by e-mail. We're open to changing these policies; it's been carefully drafted but nothing is carved in stone.

Thanks guys. *Sniff* our little website is growing up.

As a long time lurker, (1 year) there have been many times when I felt I should respond or comment on an article brought forth by the Cabel. This time, you've pushed me into action.

I am referring to Clause 7 of the Legal and Privacy Act in which you claim that ...
a) There is such a thing as a reasonable attorney....or
b) There is an attorney with reasonable fees.

Since I'm not an attorney myself, I'm not sure which claim you're trying to make, and since I'm nearly 50 years old, and have seen neither of these things, I tend to think the Cabel is playing with us common folk, attempting to entice us to believe in Fairy Tales.

Seriously, though...I congratulate the Cabel and the regular posters for the high quality of analysis, insight, and comment I've enjoyed this past year. I haven't had as much fun reading about baseball since the late 60's and early 70's when The Sporting News weekly newspaper was my main reading material.

Thank you all.... Go Jays...

If you are thinking I spelled Cabal wrong in my previous post, I did...but it was only to throw off the members of the Cabal who will likely claim there is no Cabal.

There is no Cabel.

Then what's that fat bill I get from Rogers every month?

Congratulations guys! It's good to see a Ryan finally on the Batter's Box roster (although we're still woefully underrepresented, based on the number of us on this site).

Nonsense. I am an attorney and I'm perfectly reasonable. I'm reasonably short, reasonably fat, reasonably sane and I'm reasonably tired this morning to boot.

From the lips of Marty York (which may mean as little to all of you as it does to me)...

1. the Delgado-to-LA rumour won't die, with a possible deal (for prospects) at the AS break

2. the Jays are talking to Pedro Astacio about a minor league contract

Then what's that fat bill I get from Rogers every month?

That, sir, is the Gullible Tax.

There is no Cabel.

Certainly there is.

When I click on 'Legal and Privacy Policy' I get a blank screen. That's really, really private.

Our recent rebuild seems to have dumped the Legal and Privacy Policy.

We'll restore it soon.

The legal and privacy policies have been restored. Thanks Coach!
