Over at The Hardball Times, "Studes" (Dave to the rest of us) has a look at batted ball types and other such goodies. He also has a sneak preview of the 2004 Hardball Times Baseball Annual, our forthcoming book which will be released next week.

The Annual will be packed chock-full of stats stuff you can't find elsewhere, of which this is a small sneak preview. It'll be a lot of fun.

Attention Blue Jays fans,

Now that it is November it's time to get out and vote. The nominees for 2005 Ford Frick award. There are several Blue Jays broadcasters on the list.

Here is the website address http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/library/frick_voting/index.asp

1. Tom Cheek
2. Jerry Howarth
3. Don Chevrier
4. Fergie Olver
5. Tony Kubek

I think that this year every Blue Jay fan should vote for Tom Cheek in the Hall of Fame. He's been the voice of the Blue Jays for 27 years. His streak of over 4000 games without being absent is remarkable. He's broadcasted the two world Series championship games.

Touch em all Joe You'll Never Hit A Bigger Home Run in your life.

I encourage everyone to touch your keyboard and put Tom Cheek in the Hall of Fame

Thanks, Hartley, for informing us that we can vote for the Frick nominees. To borrow a phrase from the Philadelphia preacher quoted in the newspaper today, "I cannot tell you who to vote for, but I voted for Tom Cheek".

Craig, the Hardball Times annual will be tops on my list of baseball reading for the holidays. It's been a great year for THT.

This may be a dumb question, however, how do you vote? I see all the nominee's, yet, I don't see where you vote for them?

Nevermind, the site now allows me to vote, not sure why it didn't before?
