Who doesn't need Roy Halladay adorning their desktop? I know I could use him on mine.

Plus you get to see what Photo of the Day looks like when lit by the sun, for a change -- too bad they closed the roof shortly after the game began. (And in other news, those irritating little specks that I was retouching out of the pictures of Troy Glaus were apparently bugs! The things you miss when you're at the other end of a long lens in the camera bay...)

POTD perhaps becomes cursed and you bring out the Doc? I hope you think he'll cure what ails the POTD.

On a lighter note, enjoy a few moments comparing this image of the Doc's delivery to the one you see in the top left corner.

Wait a goldarned minute here!!!

Last July, Aaron made a lovely desktop starring Doc. I said "Oh, cool" and promptly installed it on my computer.

Two days later, Doc made what would turn out to be his last start of 2005.

I know I put the whammy on him myself ("Halladay vs Wasdin? This seems too good to be true.") But needless to say, wild horses couldn't make me download this one.

What you need to do is check the date on the last Doc POTD. I installed that as my desktop. If Doc returned from his injury right around then then we can say the installation curse is done, as he's been on quite the tear since then. But, if the installation was followed by his injury...

I'm going to go with neutral. He was injured April 11th, at least according to the tsn.ca injuries list thats when he was officially classified as injured.

Therefore, the POTD had no impact on his being injured. One could say it was a good omen for his return though, as he's been a rock since his return for the most part.
