Pulaski looked like my softball team in the field last night - 7 errors.  The affiliates went 2-4 on the night.

Ottawa 13 at Syracuse 5

Despite the score Jamie Vermilyea pitched a fine game.  He went 6 innings giving up just one run on three hits and one walk.  He struck out one and had 13 ground ball outs compared to 4 fly ball outs.  The bullpen was a mess giving up 8 in the 8th inning and 3 in the 9th.

Justin Singleton went 2-4 with a HR and 3 RBIs for the Chiefs.  Adam Lind in his first AAA game went 0-3 with a walk.  Alex Rios went 1-4 with a walk while DHing.

New Hampshire 1 at Binghamton 6

Michael McDonald had another tough outing giving up all 6 runs in 5 innings of work.  Justin James pitched a scoreless three innings of relief giving up just one hit.

The Fisher Cats had 8 hits on the night.  Tim Olsen and Brad Hassey each had two.

Dunedin 8 @ Daytona 4

Billy Carnline got the win going 6 innings, giving up 4 runs (2 earned), 9 hits and no walks. He struck out 3.

Aaron Matthews and Eric Arnold each had home runs for the D-Jays. Eric Nielsen and Juan Peralta each had three hits.

Lansing 1 at Dayton 2 (14 innings)

A long night in Dayton last night.  Kristian Bell had a fine start holding Dayton to no runs over 6 innings.  Bell struck out 5.  Ted Serro pitched 4 scoreless innings in extra innings.

The Nuts managed only 7 hits over the 14 innings.  Third baseman Jason Armstrong had 3 of the hits.

Auburn 16 at Vermont 1

That's more like it.  Auburn put up a 7 spot in the first inning and cruised to victory.  *Six* players had at least 3 hits on the night.  They were Scott Campbell (4), Ben Zeskind, Adam Calderone, Matthew Lane, Brian Jeroloman, and Jonathan Baksh.

Wilfreddy Aguirre was the recipient of the run support and picked up the win going 5 scoreless innings.

Pulaski 1 @ Danville 12

The P-Jays had a tough night in the field - 7 errors. Ouch. Travis Snider went 2-3 with a walk and two throwing errors. Snider's batting average is up to .311.

3 Stars!
3 - Jamie Vermilyea - 6 innings, 1 run, 13 GBs
2 - Scott Campbell - 4-5 with 3 doubles and a walk

Pistol, maybe you can help me. I've been trying to keep updated on my friend's status with the team since he got drafted, but I haven't seen his name in quite a while. How's Tracey Thorpe doing at the moment? Last time I saw him, he was recovering from his injury. I haven't seen his name in a while and I'm just wondering how he's doing at the moment.

Tracy Thorpe has been closing games for New Hampshire and doing a fine job of it.  If you are statistically minded, here are his numbers.

Thorpe's numbers would be even better if not for his penchant for being really, really bad when he's off his game. He'll absolutely dominate for three weeks and then five up four runs in one game and not get an out. I'll bet if you take out his three worst games of the year his ERA is around 1.50.
