New Hampshire 4 @ Portland 7

Kyle Yates got the start for the Fishercats.  He gave up a leadoff HR in the first inning to Jeff Corsaletti to put NH in a hole.  The Fishercats were able to tie it up in the top of the second on a David Smith HR, his 24th on the year.  After a scoreless 2nd Portland struck for 2 in the third and fourth innings and a single run in the 5th.  Andrew Pinckney did most of the damage with a solo HR in the 3rd and a 2 run HR in the 4th.

Trailing 6-1 NH fought back putting up a 3 spot in the 7th inning stringing singles and walks together.  With two outs NH had the go ahead run at the plate, but Mayorson grounded out to end the frame.

Sergio Santos had two hits and two walks on the night for the Fishercats.  No other Fishercat had more than one hit.

Kyle Yates gave up the first 5 runs in 3.1 innings to get the loss.

BA released its year-end Prospect Hot Sheet, and Travis Snider came in at #7.  The comments about Snider are unusually cogent for BA.  Snider's line in the Midwest League is, incidentally, a little better than Jay Bruce's line last year there at age 19 (.291/.349/.516) but bears actually a fair bit of resemblance in the W/K/XBH departments.  Bruce is, of course, a centerfielder.
