The Vancouver Canadians were able to advance to the Northwest League final thanks in part to a Game 1 victory against Everett at Nat Bailey Stadium Tuesday. The C's hope to replicate that home magic today and tomorrow in the best-of-three championship against Boise.

Justin Seager strikes out against Robson in the first inning.

Mitch Nay was able to collect a single in his first plate appearance. Nay had two singles and scored a run in four trips to the dish as the designated hitter.

L.B. Dantzler is congratulated by Robson after his leaping grab at first base ended the fourth inning to strand runners at second and third, keeping the score 1-0 for Everett. Robson would make it through five innings against the Mariners affiliate.

A wild pitch by Everett lefty Jake Zohan resulted in Brenden Kalfus crossing the plate with the tying run in the fifth. Kalfus got aboard on a double, one of two hits on the night.

Andy Fermin rounds third base and heads for home with the tie-breaking run in the sixth inning after a Dantzler double. The son of Felix went 2-for-4 with a walk.

Dantzler is greeted at the dugout by Robson (#35), lefthander Joe Spano (#21) and catcher Seth Conner (#26) after scoring on a Mike Reeves double that also scored Justin Atkinson to cap off a four-run rally in the sixth. Dantzler had a 2-for-4 night at the plate.

Lefty Matt Dermody did his best Brett Cecil impersonation in pitching two shutout frames to earn the victory.

Garrett Pickens and hitting coach Dave Pano share a fist bump after Pickens kept the AquaSox off the board in the eighth inning.

Chuck Ghysels shouts for joy after striking out Everett's Ian Miller for the final out of the game, nailing down a 5-1 victory for Vancouver. The C's went on to win 11-4 in Everett the next night to advance to the league final against Boise.

The C's start lefty Kyle Anderson in Game 2 this afternoon against the Hawks Paul Blackburn, taken 57th overall in the 2012 draft by the Cubs. If the series goes the limit, Tom Robson is expected to start Game 3 for Vancouver.
