Buffalo won a tight 1-0 game to extend their lead in the division. New Hampshire lost both ends of a doubleheader. Vancouver had lots of hitting and won. Spencer Horwitz extended his hitting streak to 22 games in style with four hits. Dunedin played a long one, 13 innings, but came out on the wrong end.

Buffalo 1 Scranton 0

Portland 8 New Hampshire 3 - game 1

Portland 9 New Hampshire 2 - game 2

Vancouver 9 Everett 7

Palm Beach 12 Dunedin 9 - 13 innings

FCL Blue Jays 9 FCL Tigers 2

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Buffalo scored the only run of the game in the eighth inning. Two walks and a bunt single loaded the bases followed by an Otto Lopez sac fly. Forrest Wall had two of the Bisons four hits.

Four pitchers combined on the five hit shutout. Casey Lawrence threw six innings. Julian Merryweather, Dany Jimenez and Trent Thornton each pitched an inning. Thornton sruck out the side in the ninth.

In the first New Hampshire game Reilly Hovis gave up seven runs. Vinny Capra had two hits and three RBI.

In game two NH did not get good pitching and were down 4-0 after two innings and 9-0 before they scored. The Fisher Cats had just six hits, Demi Orimoloye Jordan Groshans did not play in either game.

Spencer Horwitz extended his hit streak to 22 games with a 4-5 day. One of those hits was his tenth home run. Horwitz's homer was one of four home runs hit by the C's, all solo shots. Zac Cook hit one, his seventh, and also went 3-4. Orelvis Martinez and Rafael Lantigua's homers were their only hits of the day.

The winning pitcher was Alex Nolan who gave up two runs over five innings.

The D Jays game went to extra innings. Both teams scored a run in the tenth, and they repeated the run scoring in the eleventh. No one scored in the twelfth but the Jays conceded five in the top of the 13th and that was too big a gap. The Jays used five pitchers and the lowest ERA at the end of the game was 5.50 so mayve a loss wasn't unexpected.

Leo Jimenez was 2-3 with two walks and he was hit by a pitch. Addison Bargar was 2-6 with two runs batted in. Catcher Victor Mesia made his debut for Dunedin and went 1-5.

The FCL Jays racked up 15 hits. JC Masson and Adriel Sotolongo each homered and added two more hits for three hit games each. First baseman Rainer Nunez also had three hits with two doubles.
