New Hampshire 5 Reading 4
Vancouver 8 Spokane 4
Buffalo 5 Columbus 2
Dunedin’s game was postponed, New Hampshire, Vancouver, and Buffalo won.
Vancouver Canadians
As someone who regularly confuses the Spokane Indians High A baseball team with the Spokane Chiefs WHL team, the above title seemed appropriate.
The Vancouver Canadians continued their recent surge Wednesday, now sitting at 31-28 on the season after beating Spokane 8-4. 2024 was a year that was not kind to Vancouver whenever they played the Indians as they lost their Northwest League crown to Spokane last September.
With six wins in a row and 14 in their last 16, Arjun Nimmala hit his 10th home run in this game as well. He is the youngest qualified player in the Northwest League.
Vancouver sits at 31-28 now, tied for the first place lead in the Northwest with the Everett Aquasox.
The C’s and Indians play the third game of their series today at 7:05 PM PDT at Nat Bailey Stadium.Buffalo Bison
Buffalo were 5-2 winners Wednesday thanks to a Michael Stefanic and Rainer Nunez collecting three hits a piece and Nunez’s three RBI’s.
Two runs for Buffalo in the fourth and three more in the seventh were keyed by a Yohendrick Pinango Triple scoring Riley Tirotta and then Nunez single scoring Pinango in the fourth.
Buffalo is now 27-36 on the season. The two teams play again today at 6:35 PM ET.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats
The Fisher Cats beat the Reading Fightin Phils 5-4 Wednesday. The Cats struck first in the top of the third when Eddinson Paulino blasted a solo home run on a fly ball to centre field and then Jace Bohrofen’s double scored Charles McAdoo.
