Buffalo hit well, scored a lot, and pitched well for a comprehensive win. On the other hand Dunedin were terrible. New Hampshire were rained out while Vancouver and the FCL Jays had scheduled days off.

Bradenton 7 Dunedin 1

NOTES

Buffalo scored early and often, they were ahead 6-0 in the second and 10-0 in the fifth. Every starting position player had a hit. The Bisons scored eleven runs without a home run. The big hitter was RJ Schreck who doubled twice, singled and drove in five runs. It has been a slow start to the season for Schreck who is hitting well under .200. Could this be a spark? Ismael Munguia, Josh Kasevich, Charles McAdoo and William Simoneit each chipped in two hits.

Austin Voth threw four shutout innings with 59 pitches. There was a rain delay in the second so Voth possibly threw more pitches to stay warm during the delay. Voth had ten whiffs to lead the game in that category.

Dunedin had a game to forget. Lets see...they had four hits but made five errors. They hit three batters and threw two wild pitches. Catcher Juan Rosas had a tough game, he was called twice for catchers interference and also had a passed ball. The only Dunedin run came from an Addison Barger home run in the ninth inning. Aldo Gaxiola had half the Jays hits, a single and a double.

The Jays pitchers had just four strikeouts in the game. Starter Brayden Heidel throws hard, he hit 97 mph and averaged 94.9 in the first inning. But he had just one strikeout and two whiffs.

Great title. My brain didn’t know what to do with it.

So with guys getting healthy and others surging their production, our all-important AA level is starting to look pretty full of interesting prospects now. Some are too old to get too excited about until they do it at the next level but most of these guys are worthy prospects at this point.

CF Arias 22
RF Bohrofen 24
LF Micheletti 24
3B Coffey 22
SS Nimmala 20
2B Pinto 23
1B Keys 23
C Parker 23
DH Hornung 25

UT Harry 23
OF Burgos 23
IF Goodwin 24
C Stone 24
C Planchart 24

With Nimmala Arias and Pinto there now we suddenly have some potential top-end type prospects here. Then we have guys with good pedigrees that are surging (Keys, Bohrofen, Michelett) some that are just abiding (Parker, Goodwin) and some that are struggling (Coffey, Harry).

Almost the only guy here that strikes me as not worth following at all is Hornung. but all the rest, even the bench guys there, seem at least somewhat interesting, in addition to the handful of very exciting guys at the top.
