NOTES

Buffalo were shutout, they had just five hits. RJ Schreck, who has been hot, went 1-2 with a walk and he was hit by a pitch. All the recent hits just have his batting average up to .198.

The Bisons tried an opener for Chad Dallas and it worked and it didn't work. It worked because Dallas went four innings with six K's and just one unearned run. It didn't work because the opener, Hayden Juenger, gave up two runs so the Bisons were already 2-0 down when Dallas entered the game.

New Hampshire and Portland combined for 28 runs, 30 hits and eight home runs. Portland scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth to send the game to extra innings. Sean Keys took care of that with a two run home run in the tenth. But...he hit the home run off a position player, Portland's pitching has been taking a beating so they must have run out of pitchers. There was a long list of good offensive performances. Arjun Nimmala went 4-6 with a double. Jace Bohrofen, Jose Burgos and Cutter Coffey each had three hits, Bohrofen hit his ninth home run. Eddie MIcheletti hit his fifth home run.

Nimmala has now played four games for NH. His hits have gone 1, 0, 2 and 4. Positive direction. His strikeouts have gone 3, 1,1 and 0, again positive direction. It is very early but he is not being overwhelmed.

Austin Cates made his AA debut. The first three innings were OK but then he gave up two runs in the fourth. He finished with two K's in four innings.

Nolan Perry made his high A debut in Vancouver's game. He went five innings and struck out eight. He gave up three hits and one walk leading to one run. That's a successful debut.

The C's had five hits, all singles. Jacob Sharp singled in two runs in the eighth to break a 1-1 tie. Twice Tucker Toman singled in a run.

Dunedin had to face Seth Hernandez, one of the best pitching prospects in the minors. He held the Jays to three hits in six innings. The Jays scored two runs when he left the game, one run came from Juan Sanchez's first home run in North America.

Troy Guthrie had a major off night, he was taken deep three times in 3.1 innings and he surrendered nine hits.

In the FCL, Kennew Blanco, a big bonus guy from 2025, had two hits. Blanco was due to sign for over a million dollars but his age was disputed and he ended up signing for $600,000. His two hits still leave his average at just .176.
