I am not sure when "Dub" became part of the vocabulary. I have a feeling its in the last five years or so but of course I could be wrong. Apparently Dub is short for "W" or win. I cannot find anything on the web as to why Dub Gleed goes by that name. Milb lists him as Dub. The New Hampshire X account tweeted William Stanton Gleed which seems to be his real name. So on Thursday Dub Gleed homered again, his 16th of the season compared to two last year. Dub was in the Marlins system last season and came to the Blue Jays in the Leo Jimenez trade at the end of spring training. Dub is exhibit A in what the Jays hope to do with the low power hitters they acquired at the deadline.
Dub's homer helped NH win. Charles McAdoo also homered to help Buffalo win. Payton Williams homered twice but it wasn't enough for Vancouver. Dunedin's rainy season continued with another rain out.

Spencer Arrighetti made a rehab start for Buffalo and was pulled after 39 pitches. Sam Gardner had to come on in relief and gave up two runs in 1.1 innings. Simeon Woods Richardson followed and was excellent again. In four innings he shutout Norfolk on one hit and he struck out two.
Charles McAdoo hit a two run home run in the first inning. The Bisons added two runs in the seventh, one on an error and McAdoo singled in run number four. Three more runs came across in the eighth. One scored on a passed ball and two more from a Willie MacIver single. McAdoo was 3-4, newly acquired Brett Bateman was 2-5.
Nolan Perry returned for NH two weeks after being hit on the head. He was not rusty, three innings and had just two men on base, a walk and a hit batter. He struck out four. Gage Stanifer followed and he went four innings. He used 84 pitches, 42 balls, 42 strikes and walked five. He also struck out five. Portland had one hit and scored one run off him.
"New guy" Alexis Hernandez singled in a run in the first inning. In the sixth Portland walked three to load the bases. Nick Goodwin hit a sac fly then Dub Gleed hit a three run home run. Hernandez and Matthieu Vallee led the hitters with two hits. Vallee also walked twice. Tucker Toman in his first game was 1-5, Eric Snow, the third promoted player, had a walk. Gleed is hitting .275 in AA with an OPS of .876. His walk to strikeout ratio is just under 1:2 and his BABIP is not high at .293. He is still just 23 years old.
Landen Maroudis started for Vancouver and through three innings he had faced the minimum nine hitters. But the lead off hitter in the fourth doubled and later scored on a sac fly. Everett then added two solo home runs, one on the fourth and one in the fifth. Maroudis's final line weas five innings, five hits, three runs, four K's.
A Peyton Williams solo home run was the C's only run until the ninth when Williams hit another. Ryan Sprock then singled and Gable Mitchell doubled. A ground out scored a run but the tying run was left on third.
