New Hampshire was the only winner on Tuesday. Dunedin's game against Fort Myers was rained out. They'll play two on Thursday.

Syracuse 9 Buffalo 6
New Hampshire 4 Hartford 3 (10 Innings)
Spokane 9 Vancouver 6

*** 3 Stars!!! ***

1. Mason Olson, New Hampshire
2. Johnny King, Vancouver
3. Je'Von Ward, Buffalo

Notes

Grant Rogers was rocked for six runs over five innings with all the damage done in the first inning. He served up two long balls and a triple among his nine hits and was a double short of the cycle. Rogers did manage to put up four goose eggs to give the Herd a fighting chance. Rogers whiffed two without a walk and got nine of his 13 outs on the ground. Devereaux Harrison gave up three runs in 1⅓ innings. Michael Plassmeyer stranded two of three runners to end the seventh inning and Brendon Little pitched a shutout eighth. Je'Von Ward hit a two-run homer and doubled and Charles McAdoo also belted a two-run round-tripper and drew a walk. Riley Tirotta had a two-hit night and Josh Kasevich added an RBI single and a base on balls.

It was "Winner Winner! Chicken Dinner!" for the Chicken Tenders on Tuesday. Trailing by a run in the 10th, the Fisher Cats rallied with an Aaron Parker bases-loaded walk and won it on a Jay Harry RBI groundout. Eddie Micheletti homered, singled and walked and Adrian Pinto had three hits, including a game-tying RBI double in the ninth. Arjun Nimmala and Sean Keys were 0-for-4 with a walk. New Hampshire won despite going 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position and leaving 11 on base. Mason Olson yielded one run on four hits and struck out only one but he did not walk anyone and seven of his eight outs in play were on the dirt. Of his 52 pitches, 39 were strikes. Aaron Munson was nicked for an uneared run over 213 innings but struck out four. Irv Carter stranded a runner and recorded four outs, one via the strikeout, and Kai Peterson retired his only batter to strand a runner for Carter. Nate Garkow was charged with an unearned run but struck out two and got the win.

Jacob Sharp gave the C's a 2-0 lead with a two-run dinger in the top of the first to drive in an Alexis Hernández double. Hernández had the only two-hit effort by adding a single. Sharp walked and Manny Beltre doubled. Johnny King surrendered a first-inning run but put up four bagels after that on four hits and three walks. He struck out five and cut his earned run average down to 0.99. Holden Wilkerson had trouble finding the strike zone by issuing three walks and giving up two hits in 1⅓ innings. He was charged with five runs when Carson Pierce allowed two inherited runners to score. Pierce would give up three runs of his own in one stanza. Jay Schueler stranded the bases loaded for Pierce by striking out one of the two batters he faced to end the eighth.

Johnny King in his last 5 starts 3 have been V good 1 ok and 1 bad. 4IP 1 ER, 5IP 0ER, 5IP 1ER, the Ok start was 4IP 2ER and the bad start was 4IP 3ER with 6BB.

King will be 20 years old on July 26th. He pitched V well in 2025 and 2026. His pitch count is being monitored probably because of his youth. He is up to 5IP and 73 pitches so far this year. Since he is having a great year I expect him to be in AA soon and as a 19 year old.

Dallas got roughed up today, taking a little shine off of his case for being a near-term callup

My 1st sentence about J King is actually about G Stanifer. My mistake. I was wrong. Not apologizing but at age 74 this type of thing happens so I forgive myself. Da Box is a friendly, tolerant place and I am comfortable here getting to know the personalities of our members. We suffered together in 2024 and rejoiced in 2025. Good togetherness. Ohh BTY Cheers!!

Nolan Perry and Johnny King are too damned good for A ball.

And Perry's 22 so it's looking like time for AA. But tonight was only his third start for Vancouver so probably they're not going to be THAT aggressive. Still, 15 IP, ONE earned run and !28! strikeouts.

Perry will be able to catch up to Stanifer soon - it's not that long ago that Perry seemed the more interesting prospect.

I suspect King may spend a good chunk of the year in Vancouver. You could move up him, sure, but he has a 5.6 BB/9. Perhaps keeping him down to work on control makes sense; there's no need to rush him.

Sauer up to AA.
