Vancouver Canadians

The Everett Aquasox beat The Vancouver Canadians 11-1 Friday afternoon. Everett scored one in the third, two in the fourth and three in the fifth. They led 6-0 by the end of the fifth.

Vancouver could only get one run in the seventh and by that point were down 7-1. Everett adding singles in the eighth and three more in the ninth.

The series continues today in Vancouver with the C’s having no chance at grabbing a first half win in the Northwest League. Their record is now 26-35.

Starters for the game today are Landon Maroudis for Vancouver (0-5, 6.69) and Evan Truitt for the Aquasox. (1-3, 3.88). First pitch is at 1:05pm PDT.


New Hampshire Fisher Cats

New Hampshire suffered a similar fate to Vancouver on Friday surrendering eight runs in the fourth to lose 11-1 to the Hartford Yard Goats.

Adrian Pinto’s home run in the eighth broke Hartford’s shut out bid but with the game 10-0 at that point it was basically over.

The Fisher Cats also announced today via their X account that Dub Gleed and Danny Thompson Jr will be joining the club. The Cats spelt Dub’s name as Gleeb raising the ire of some followers on X.

Gage Stanifer (2-4, 4.56 ERA) is heading to the hill for the Fishers Cats for today’s game. The Yard Goats will counter with Jake Brooks (1-3, 4.18 ERA). The Game starts is 6:10pm local time.


Dunedin Blue Jays

The Dunedin Blue Jays lost both of their double header games Friday by scores of 4-2 and 4-3 to the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels .

Dunedin had posted seven straight victories prior to the losses. The two games consisted of a suspended game from Thursday and another seven inning game that followed.

Outfielder Blaine Bullard went 3-7 with two runs and had a pair of hits in the second game. He has hit in six straight and reached safely in 12 games.

Jake Cook went 2-4 with a run in the second game. It was Cook’s third multi hit game in his last six games.

Dunedin and Fort Myers play today at 6:05 pm ET. Silvano Hechavarria will start for the D Jays (1-3, 8.53 ERA) against Fort Meyers Ramiro Villanueva (0-1, 3.09 ERA). The Game starts is 6:10pm local time.


Buffalo Bisons

The Bisons were the lone affiliate winners on Friday as they beat the Syracuse Mets 4-1.

After Syracuse grabbed an early 1-0 lead, Je’Von Wards RBI single in the fourth scored Jonatan Close to tie the game at 1.

Buffalo took the lead in the seventh when Sean Keys double scored Ryan McCarty and Josh Kasevich moved to third. Eloy Jimenez then hit an RBI single that scored Kasevich to make it 3-1.

The Bisons then added another run in the eighth and shut down the Mets offence to get the win.

Grant Rogers gets the start today for Buffalo (2-6, 5.70 ERA) against the Mets Zach Thornton (1-4, 3.91 ERA). The Game starts is 6:05pm local time.
