Victor Arias went 2-for-4 and JR Freethy singled and drew two walks in his Double-A debut. Quebec native Mathieu Vallée was 0-for-4.Jackson Wentworth got the loss after surrendering four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out four and recorded five groundouts. Austin Marozas was mashed for four runs in two innings. Jonathan Todd pitched a shutout frame with two strikeouts against one walk in his Fisher Cat debut.
Jean Joseph homered in his first Northwest League at-bat and went 2-for-3 with a bases-loaded walk. Tucker Toman, Jaxson West and Jake Casey all had bases loaded walks. Eric Snow had the other two-hit night. Peyton Williams launched a 437-foot home run to center field and drew two walks. One oddity from this game was Casey, Maddox Latta, Alexis Hernández all getting hit by pitches in the first inning but managed not to score. Hernández was nicked in the face but was okay to continue. He later had a single and sacrifice fly. Latta and Casey walked twice with Casey stealing a base. Johnny King allowed just four baserunners on two hits and two walks over five shutout innings and struck out four to get the win. Jack Eshleman overcame a long fifth inning with one run allowed but pitched a perfect seventh to earn the hold. Reese Wissinger got the final six outs, three by strikeout, to overcome a hit and a walk.
Ryan Cooney singled and walked in his first two professional plate appearances and later added a sacrifice fly. Dean West also singled in his first AB and got an HBP. Owen Carapollotti had the lone extra-base hit with a double and also drew a walk. JoJo Parker, Giaconino Lasaracina and Aldo Gaxiola had RBI singles. Blaine Bullard walked twice, once with the bases loaded, and stole his 33rd base of the year. All nine hitters reached base safely. Blake Purcell was punked for eight runs (three unearned after a Parker error at short) in 4&frac;s innings innings. Purcell gave up two homers among nine hits and had a 2-2 K/BB total. Jorge Alcala pitched 1⅓ innings of perfect relief and Reese Bassinger tossed a perfect frame in his pro debut. Landon Waters and Mason Daveport were charged with three runs while only getting two outs apiece. Catcher Charlie Saum had to get the final two outs.
In the Dominican, the Blue team had two singles from Isay Veras and a two-run single from Fabian Gonzalez. That was it for the hit column but Veras had a perfect day at the dish with a walk. Celwin Hurkmans got the loss by giving up three runs on two hits and two walks in two innings and struck out three. Orlando Marcelin, Johan FIguera and Sebastian Rodriguez teamed up for five consecutive bagels.
The Red Squad saw Gabriel Porras single twice, walk twice and steal a base. His RBI single opened the scoring. Elaineker Coronado walked three times. Luis Nuñez had an RBI single, two walks and a stolen bag. Darwin Nuńez singled, walked and stole three bases and Alex LInares walked twice and had two SBs.
